You know when when God sent Adam and Eve out of the garden he closed up the way back in there with a flaming sword lest Adam in his own strength, his own flesh, tried to go back in to live forever… and so that flaming sword really is the Lord Jesus Christ… because no man comes to the father except through Jesus Christ… and so even as Born Again people… born again… the flesh man thinks that it can eat and drink of Life by its own fleshly strength… instead of going through the Lord Jesus Christ… and to go through the Lord Jesus Christ is to taste of that flaming sword… sharper than any two-edged sword… and also on fire with the fire… the consuming, jealous fire of God…a fire that consumes all that is of the carnal man… all that is of the flesh… a fire that burns us… a a sword that cuts down deep and separates between Soul and Spirit and the thoughts and hidden motives of the heart…
So we try to pretend to be Christians… we try to gain the glory of God… we try to maintain a position of Holiness or whatever… and yet we have to go through Jesus to be authentic… and to go through Jesus means all that is not of Jesus will be burned up… will be cut away…. will be exposed for the light to shine upon….
so the way is now open to the Tree of Life… the the Flaming sword though, is still there… and we must go through the fire… through the sword… through the word of God… to enter into life…. the words I speak to you are spirit and they are life… Jesus said… the flesh profits nothing.
so God wants us to come into life… Jesus said that ‘I came to give you life’ he said ‘whoever eats of My Flesh and drinks of my blood shall live forever’ and his flesh and his blood are the word of God… the word… but we try to circumnavigate Jesus… we try to go around him to the Tree of Life.. thinking that we can…But God has set in place the only way… the only way… and The Only Name by which a man must be saved… made whole… is to go through the Flaming sword Jesus Christ… and as you go through the Flaming sword you become one with that… you are held in his grip… you are held inside that sword… you are held and judged by that sword… you are, you are burned by the fire… and you give yourself to the fire… and you give yourself to The Sword… and the sword cuts.. the sword divides and separates inside of you… and God brings you into Jesus… the Flaming sword… that you might eat of life… that you might enter in to Jesus.. to God to the father… to the Garden.. to Heaven… all these are metaphors… and all this happens in the life of the believer…
and yet the flesh will never stop trying to go around Jesus.. to go around his fire… to go around his sword and escape the Judgement of the sword…. but there is no way to escape it because God loves you… and God will ensure that you are brought face to face with the Living Word sharper than any two-edged sword… he will make sure that you come Heart to Heart, face to face with the fire, with the sword, because he wants to cut away from you all that is of the foreskin… all that is of the old man that is lingering on… he wants you to come through the fire and out the other side permanently changed and marked by your interaction with his flaming sword.
Lord we welcome you… we receive you as the Flaming sword to cut away.. to burn and Purge us… of all that is of the old man in our mind… and bring us into that place of open-facedness before you …that place of open-face… naked before you.. ‘all things are naked and open to him to whom we must give account’… and so father we thank you for the sword… we thank you for the fire… we thank you that you desire for us to partake of Jesus as our life… and we don’t want to go around him… we want to go into him.. stay in him… and allow him to do his wonderful work in us… thank you Lord you are pruning, purging, cleansing. you are burning and shaping and bringing us through into the image and likeness of Jesus… there is only one way father… and we say Amen… you are having your way… you are doing a good work.. Hallelujah.
Later that day I was getting more about this and tried to preach it but came face to face with Him in my spirit!!!
