A prophet must be dealt with thoroughly if he/she is to be a sharp threshing instrument in the hand of God. If his tongue is to be that of a ready writer he must have his tongue cleansed with a coal from the Altar of His Holy presence.

In order to be effective as a prophet we must find all our validation from the Father and NO ONE else. This is a hard lesson. It requires that God operate upon us. It is natural for any person to want to be approved of. When God calls you to be His mouth piece He knows that it will require our death. Long years of wilderness are His means to wean us from many things.

It always astounds me when I hear of other men and how they tell of a quick story of promotion in God. They get saved, they go to Bible College, they graduate, they plant a church somewhere and spend the rest of the days preaching the word of God. But those who are called as Prophets will find a long drawn out process that crucifies everything natural in their lives. It seems that Father deals much more harshly with prophets than with other ministry gifts. Chastening can be painful but afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. This is not to say that other callings are not pure or dealt with by God they certainly are but the prophet must be dealt with more.

Jesus warned, WOE to you if all men speak well of you.

Looking for applause and pundits, likes and shares, nice comments and approval are all natural for the flesh to do. But not so the spirit man.

Jesus was quick to dismiss his own goodness and point to the Father as the only One who is Good. He was quick to flee the crowd and retreat to the presence of the Father alone in the desolate places. Men wanted to make him King.

We see this in politics today, as we always do in that field of human flesh.

Look at all the kingmakers rallying behind their chosen candidate. Behind Mrs Clinton are some of the most rich and powerful people in the world. They donate millions to help ensure she is elected so that she in turn will fight for their causes. On the other side you see a multibillionare backing himself to run against Clinton. It makes no difference at all what these people are saying now. What makes all the difference is who they are bought by, who owns them? They will do the bidding of the king makers when push comes to shove. They all have done this since the start of that nation.

Any true man or woman of faith who tries to stand for truth in the USA in politics, and who is serious about turning the nation back to God is compromised from the very start. They need to come out and be separate from all that system that serves Satan. What would happen if the Church in America came together in revival and people sold stuff and started their own welfare system, their own healing system, their own education system totally separate from the American Constitution that you all love and dare I say, worship!

Come out from her and be separate says the Lord! It is the heart that is ensnared. We are serving the wrong kingdom, slaves to the beast with the mark of the beast already upon us- -MONEY! No man can buy or sell except he have the mark. Try going into any store and taking anything without paying money. Everyone is worried about some chip in the hand coming, but what about the worship of money that has ensnared all of us since birth? We need God to set us free! We need repentance!! Looking to the Government and the Federal Reserve system to see whether they raise interest rates or not is the delusion of those who are marked already on their mind(forehead) and who are being run around everywhere by the Beast. The only thing that will save America is a total turning away from the BEAST–which we are NOT ABLE to do unless God comes and grants us repentance.

Who owns you prophet? Does He own every part of you? Or is there a part of you that still hankers after fame and reputation? Of course there is!! But we bring that into the light and admit it to the Lord and allow Him to deal with it. No use denying it before the eyes of the One with whom we have to do. He sees all, knows all, yet He loves all.

Take Jonah as an example. God knew exactly what Jonah was like when he called upon him to go to Ninevah. God knew that Jonah shared in the national hatred of Ninevah so he sent him specifically, and not another prophet more compassionate. There is something very powerful in moving in the opposite spirit. The coming together of death and life in one person creates an outpouring of power.

It is like the massive sub-tropical low pressure systems we get in my part of the world.

That big letter J in the clouds is the leading edge of the Low pressure sytem. As it circulates clockwise it sucks moisture and heat down from the hot inland parts of Australia. It even sucks moisture from out in the Indian ocean in the top left of the picture.

But at the bottom left of the J shaped sytem the winds are sucking cold moist air from the Southern ocean. The congruence of this deathly-cold wet air, and the hot moist air from the north form a great big outpouring of rain upon the thirsty dry land.

There is death and life, cold and heat at work to bring forth rain.

In the body of Christ it is the same. That is why REPENTANCE is the hallmark of Revival. The coldness in our hearts meets the fire of His spirit, either in us or from a brother or sister and the combination is repentance.

God knows we are cold and naked and blind and poor…we don’t. He wants us to be on fire for Him. He wants there to be a constant downpour of the rain of the Holy Spirit from our lives. So he sends prophets. The prophet comes to the Coldness in our life and the result is repentance. If that is not the result then the prophet is sometimes to blame, for he has not allowed the Lord to bring him to reopentance.

Repentance is the thing that brings the flow. Cold winds blow….hot winds flow. Let us bring them both before the Lord in all honesty and ask HIm to bring us through to repentance and brokenness.

For us to be effective as prophets we must allow God to crucify us. Only then will our words be as His.

If we are “under a pastor” then we cannot truly be God’s mouthpiece.

Prophets are only meant to be under God. Let 2 or 3 prophets prophesy and the rest judge. The Pastor/teacher  should have the maturity to allow the word of a prophet to come forth, but then to examine the word right then and there and judge it if it is in a meeting. But what has happened is that men have made denominations which control all the moving of the spirit and make everything submit to the head man. This is out of God’s order. Prophets were never meant to submitted under anyone, to do so compromises their task and puts unnessecary pressure upon them.

Most prophets end up being moved out (by God) of the churches they try to be in. There is a church of Saul and a church of David in the land. Prophets in Saul’s church will have to make a choice whether they want to stay under that compromise in the recognised churches….or leave and go out to David’s church which is “outside the city”. A Teacher explains this ….

The verse quoted above implies that there would be priests who formerly held this office who would desire to get back this office. But this would put the prophet back under the authority of the priesthood. The reason for its separation was because of the corruption in the priesthood. It is necessary that the Prophet be distinct and accountable directly to God, rather than accountable to the priest (or pastor), at least until the priesthood is perfected.

Nowadays, in the Charismatic churches which believe that prophets are important in the Church, they tend to demand that the prophets submit to the Church leadership–the priesthood. This is a direct violation of what God did in the days of Samuel. The prophets must be in submission to God alone in order to retain their independence from the corruption factor.

When they submit to the Church, they become Church prophets, rather than God’s prophets. When they submit to the king (as so often happened in the Old Testament), they became the king’s prophets. In so doing, they became “false” prophets, not because their prophecies were necessarily false, but because they betrayed their true Head by submitting to men. Source

God is preparing his prophets to come from the wilderness and meet the  Ahab’s out on the highway. Ahab was searching everywhere for Elijah and could not find him for God had hidden the prophet. But the day came for Elijah to confront Ahab and turn the hearts of the children of Israel back to God. It is written that Elijah had a nature like ours. No doubt, in his flesh he did not like confrontation. But God works obedience in His prophets so that they are willing to do what they naturally fear to do.

If you just happened to go into a hotel lobby and there you just happened to see an important polically figure having a morning coffee, what would you say to him? Would you even ask God “Do you want me to speak to him?” Or would your natural man kick in? I tell you, be ready for divine appointments with those whom the world says are important men!!

If you are God’s prophet and not a church prophet you will have these things happen. If you have come out from UNDER Saul and defected to King David in the spirit, God will use you on these missions for Him. “Be not afraid for I will speak through you.”

You want to be used by God? But you also want all men to speak well of you? Hmmm–problem. May God deal with us thoroughly and purge us of the idolatry of self. I write this for me you know. I am sure God is not talking to anyone else here. :)
