The Lord wants us to be laser sharp and effective in who we are. We must reach a place where we are sick and tired of being ripped off and hemmed in by the enemy. Then we will be open for the Lord Jesus to show us why we are so dulled and blunt and ineffective in the spirit.
When we are led around by our soul and emotions we lose focus on the thing that God has created us for.
1Co 2:9 But as it is written: “EYE HAS NOT SEEN, NOR EAR HEARD, NOR HAVE ENTERED INTO THE HEART OF MAN THE THINGS WHICH GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM.”
1Co 2:10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 1Co 2:11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.
The soul has not got much of an idea about what we are called to do in life. It is not the soul’s responsibility to know the things that God has prepared for us, but the spirit. Our human spirit dwelling with the Holy Spirit knows the things of God and the things in God’s heart for us. Not in heaven after we die, but here in this life on this earth.
Often people will read that phrase above —“eye has not seen, ear has not heard….things God has prepared for those who love Him” and immediately their mind starts thinking of “when I die and go to heaven” sort of stuff.
God did not draw you to Jesus so you can be with Him in heaven for eternity..If so, then God should simply kill everyone He wants to come to Him. You were created to walk in good works which He prepared for you and you alone to walk in. He prepared those things from before the foundation of the world when He thought of creating your spirit out from Himself.
1Co 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.
As this year comes to an end let us determine in God in our hearts that we will put ourselves in a position to hear and see and discern the things that God has freely given us.
Let us throw off the sin that so easily ensnares us…let us cast aside every weight and encumbrance and come to Jesus, seeking Him with prayer and fasting to know the heart of the Father for us individually.
We want Him to bring us into alignment with our calling and who we are in the spirit.
I awoke the other day hearing this phrase in my spirit. “Do not grasp for more than your birthright.”
We only want what is ours by grace. We do not want to walk in another man’s calling or try to be someone we are not.
The Father has made us unique. The spirit knows the things of a man. So we determine to spend time praying in the spirit and stepping out on what we perceive He is saying.
When we align upon the foundation of who we are created to be then all the gifts and fruit flow together and we become dangerous to the enemy and a blessing to many.
Here is a natural analogy seen in the body
Just as the human body suffers if the feet are flat and have no archs so the spiritual life suffers if we are out of alignment.
Having flat feet causes a chain reaction in the body. Flat feet leads to the knees coming together, which puts pressure on the hips, which tilts the pelvis forward, which causes the lower back to arch, which causes us to lean forward and the shoulders to be rounded and the neck to push forward. The result is we are stressed at every joint in our body and off balance! We end up with knee pain, hip pain, lower back problems, neck problems and more all because we are not aligned over our feet.
Simply by using inserts in our shoes to give support for the feet our whole body is aligned over the feet – our foundation.
When we align with who we were created to be – a child of God – having a specific calling from God – all the rest falls into place.
I pray that your heart/spirit will come to the fore and lead you into His very presence where the things hidden in God are clearly seen by your spirit-man.
