The thing that I have come to believe about all this–which is really the heart of the New Covenant we are in…is that we are not forgiven sinners now. We are new creatures in Christ. That old man has been crucified with Him and has been buried with Him…that is where my old man is….and yours….dead and buried.

When I came to Jesus I received a brand new life–the very life of Christ Himself as my own life. Gal 2:20, Col 3:3,4, 1Cor6:17. That is the new “I” that I am now….It is not the old I forgiven….and now required to try hard to please God everyday and to repent everyday….That old I…is dead…and God is not interested in it doing anything for Him.

Trying to live that way…seeing yourself as the old I..but now forgiven….instead of seeing yourself as CHRIST in you…as you…before the Father..is setting aside the grace of God and trying to establish your own righteousness based upon your own efforts.

This whole thing is discovered by us by going through the torment of our own Romans 7 experience just like Paul did. He discovered to his horror that the more he tried to not covet…the more he coveted all manner of things…he could not stop sinning–and this is as a born again spirit filled believer!! Eventually he cried out in exasperation to God for deliverance….it was then that he got it...I HAVE BEEN DELIVERED ALREADY!!!through Jesus Christ our Lord. He saw that he died and was now a new person–Christ and Paul as one spirit—so that God now fulfills in me/you /Paul all that He wants done.

Rom 8:3 For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh,
Rom 8:4 that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

God has done it!! He has condemned sin in your flesh ALREADY….You have Christ Jesus as your very heart now…you do not have a deceitful heart —Jeremiah 17 was pre cross. Your heart is pure….your heart is true and clean and washed and new…you are free to think of your heart as dirty and rebellious if you want to….and that is what such a seeing will produce.
But eventually you will tire of trying to please God by your own righteousness and come through to Romans 8 and the rest of the Spirit.

Paul goes on to tell us that we are not in the flesh but in the spirit–Ro 8:9 That is where we live permanently…God placed us there in Jesus. How to walk in the Spirit?

Only by faith….calling those things that be not as if they are.
Reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Rom 6:10
Daily putting on the Lord Jesus Christ BY FAITH….we believe therefore we speak…..speak what?

I am crucified with Christ….
I no longer live
Christ lives in me
The life I now live…which is Christ living…
I live by the faith of Jesus who lives in me and as me….
Jesus gave Himself for me….he exchanged Himself for me….
I do not set aside the grace of God……for if righteousness comes through self effort
if righteousness comes through confession of sin….then Christ died in vain!!

Righteousness comes through receiving the indwelling Jesus Christ as your only righteousness.

Rom 10:2 For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.
Rom 10:3 For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God.
Rom 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

The Old man that you were before coming to Jesus lived under the Law of God. The Law stirs up sin and the result is condemnation and death. That is why the Old man was crucified in Christ. That Old man can never serve God in the new covenant. The difference is like night and day.

We were under the Law and were accused by the Law as guilty sinners. All fall short of the glory of God. That reality of falling short was our constant consciousness. Please hear me.

Deep within all people is the consciousness that they are falling short of God’s glory.

That is the sin nature. No matter how many good things you do, your inner consciousness tells you it is not enough. You may do good things in one area of life, but look over there at a different area of your life. What about that? What about how good a parent you are? Oh yes, you may give lots of money to the orphans, but you are a lousy parent.

God’s law condemns your inability and weakness. You are constantly guilty before God. Therefore in an effort to get the guilt off our back we try harder to perform better. We are driven by fear of failure

Where there is condemnation there is fear. Fear is the engine room of the Law.

You will do all you can to keep fear out of your life. The fear of being condemned drives you to be a good person, but the trouble is you keep failing in some areas. Despair sets in. Pretending all is well becomes a way to cope.

Christians manage this situation by constantly running for forgiveness and repenting of anything they think was wrong with their behaviour during the day. They are afraid of God’s wrath. They are afraid that they will not be blessed anymore if they upset God. They are afraid they will never be “used by God” if they muck up and don’t get their lives in order. They are afraid they will miss the rapture. They are afraid they will not be an overcomer.

This is the bondage of the Law based Christian. This is NOT NEW COVENANT LIVING.

Without fear driving Christians I doubt that there would be much activity done by them. Fear of God’s displeasure rules all that they do like a man whipping himself into activity.

They say that God loves them unconditionally, but that is obviously not what the majority believe. To prove that to yourself, what happens in your thinking when you have no job, no church attendance, no friends or your ability to do things is stopped? What happens when your prayers are not answered after years of asking and jumping through many hoops? It is God’s way of showing us that we really do not believe He loves us unconditionally. Instead we believe we musty do certain things right so that God will bless us. That is not new covenant living.

I too am a Christian. And I write all these things from experience.

There is a better way.

It begins with accepting that we died on the cross in Jesus.

The Devil has you on a string like a puppet if you still think the you that you were before Conversion, is the same forgiven you now.

You died!! You were that Old Man ruled by fear, a slave to the flesh, under the Law, by nature a child of wrath. God did forgive your sins by the death of His Son. But you also died my friend. That old sinner that you were did not escape the penalty of the Law. No!! God put you(old you)to death in His Son on that bloody Cross.

Gal 2:19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.
Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Read that verse again, it is a present tense reality for you to accept by faith.

You died to the Law. Yes. You -the old man of sin that you were was under the Law…and could never keep it. So God put you into Christ on the Cross and killed you. In fact it pleased the Father to crush His son on the Cross. Don’t go blaming Romans or Jews for the crucifixion – God did it!! He killed that Old Man of sin on the cross, the one who could never measure up to His glory. He did not just forgive him and say, “Ok, keep trying and if you fail again, just make a sacrifice and I will forgive you again.” NO!!!!!!! He put that sinner that you were  TO DEATH!!

Now by faith, which is a free gift, you are a new you. Look what God says about you.

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live,

Yes, that is the Old you, dead and gone for ever.

but Christ lives in me;

The New you has Christ Jesus in him….not just in you but He is you!

and the life which I now live in the flesh

You are living again, but it is Christ in you that is living now…NOT the Old you simply forgiven, but a totally NEW MAN – (you and Jesus as one–ie- YOU!!)

I live by the faith of the Son of God,(KJV says “of”)

This New Person I am now, lives by HIS faith, not our own faith, for we have nothing to offer God  except to receive Him living as us.

who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Jesus gave Himself to be your new self- your new man.

The New man is Christ in you, joined as one with your spirit. The new man is Jesus Himself, in your form. You are Christ in the flesh. We accept this by faith, the same as we accept by faith our death.

This New Creation that you are is perfect- for Christ is perfect in you. Again, we accept that by faith. He/we dwell in the Father, in perfect union and love. We are love for the Father is totally satisfied with us. We accept this and speak it by faith.

We do not judge ourselves as being that old man, for that man died in Christ. Instead we see only as God sees us. Perfect in holiness and beautiful in love.

Jesus did all things out of this place of rest  and acceptance and love. We are now made in the same image, having the same Jesus as our inner life and nature. We are only motivated by Love. The language of fear is not our language any more. We no longer jump like a puppet on a string when accusation points its finger at our lack. We do not fear being displeasing to the Father for that old sinner died a just death, we are not that one  but are another – a new man in Christ Jesus.

Our new heart says I can do nothing of myself, but what I see my Father do. Our new heart is not afraid of God. Our new heart rests in perfect peace.

Though the Accuser screams at us that we are lacking in character or some other weakness, we simply acknowledge that the old man died and now we live unto God by a new life that is well pleasing to the Father. We lost our lives at the Cross and we will not take it up again by listening to the Accuser. He can only accuse through the Law, but we died to the Law and are no longer subject to it. That yoke of bondage was broken off us when we died.

So my dear friend there is a way to live pleasing before God and escape the constant sense of failure. It is to accept by faith that you died, and are now a new person in Christ. You are not that old person anymore.

Rejoice!!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

I get the sense that we are in between two ages–the outward church age and the inward age of Tabernacles. For two thousand years the church in her immaturity has tried very hard to be like Jesus. But that time is coming to end.

I believe that I like many others have been called even as Isaiah was called to see the end of Christianity come to pass.

When Isaiah saw the LORD high and lifted up on His throne God called him to a peculiar work.

Isa 6:8  Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
Isa 6:9  And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.
Isa 6:10  Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed

Great calling isn’t it?! That is my calling. Christianity fits right into these verses. They see, they hear and they know.

Isaiah recognised that he was a man taken from among men, he was just the same as everyone else. So God did something in him to make him different than all the rest. A live burning coal touched his lips and purged him. He was now different from his brethren.

His ministry was to keep Israel in the dark about God’s purposes. Isaiah heard this terrible news and cried to the LORD …

Isa 6:11  Then I said, “Lord, how long?”And He answered: “Until the cities are laid waste and without inhabitant, The houses are without a man, The land is utterly desolate,
Isa 6:12  The LORD has removed men far away, And the forsaken places are many in the midst of the land.
Isa 6:13  But yet a tenth will be in it, And will return and be for consuming, As a terebinth tree or as an oak, Whose stump remains when it is cut down. So the holy seed shall be its stump.”

Who can understand the mind of God? Who can instruct Him? God is so multifacted and all wise that the greatest chess players who can plan many moves in advance have nothing on Him. We think we know what He is doing and we think we are right…but in the end God is. Let God be true and every man a liar. What is going on?

There is a visible outward form of Christianity that has sufficed for two thousand years. But the inward kingdom has not been seen very often. That is about to change.

The cocoon  which is Christianity with all its outward forms is perishing and the New Man is about to emerge.

The cocoon has served its purpose but is about to be split apart and discarded.

Many many many are in love with the cocoon and have not caught sight of the movement within. But that cocoon called Christianity is about to die. Many shall continue to gather around the cocoon trying to get some sort of life from that dead discarded thing. But the tomb shall be empty and the New Man shall have risen and walked on from that encasement.

Do you know what I am talking about?

This is my calling.

Until the cities–churches are laid waste and without inhabitant.

Christianity shall die and be replaced with a holy Seed.

And from that Seed shall grow up unto the Lord many sons of glory. The outer husk shall be split open and be discarded….Then the true purpose of God shall be revealed.

But not until the old order is dead and empty…..for even now it is dead and empty!

The Lord is removing men far away and the forsaken places are many in the land.

Men are trying to establish churches when all they are doing is establishing dead cocoons and things of the past. Worshiping an outward Jesus who they imagine to be up there somewhere in heaven, Longing for the day that they will see Him come again. A Jesus far away. That is Christianity–a striving to perform for a far away Jesus–a striving to please a far away Jesus. THat is what God is finished with for good.

Tabernacles of God –that is what we are.

Tabernacles of Him

That is who we are.

In My Fathers house are many mansions

I go that I may prepare a place for you.

If I go..I will come again that you may be where I am.

Where is Jesus?

Christianity says He is up there somewhere and will come back someday.

Truth says He never left, but returned to the Father who is SPIRIT…and those who received His Spirit have Jesus 100% in them.

Christianity cried to God to take them to be where Jesus is…but all the time He is in them!! They want to see Jesus…He is in them. They want to know Jesus…He is in them. They want to love God more…He is in them, in their brother and sister and mother.

Jesus says If you have seen Me you have seen the Father.

Christianity says Show us the Father!!

Jesus says back to the church…if you have seen me you have seen the Father….Dont you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me?

Where do you think the Father is dear Christian?

HE IS IN YOU!!!!

There is no trying to do anything for God up there…..you are as He is right now. You are in the heavens and the earth as HE IS.

All outward thinking that separates you from Jesus is passing away.

Many are fighting this saying it is new age teaching…You bet it is!!

NEW AGE!!

NEW MAN!!

JESUS CHRIST MAGNIFIED AND GLORIFIED IN HIS BODY ON THE EARTH.

JESUS CHRIST walking and talking just being himself AS YOU.

We are all called to overcome even as Jesus overcame and sat down in triumph over His enemies. God in His loving wisdom has put us into a fight which is a fight of faith. The battle has of course been won already at the Cross…yet Jesus is waiting till all His enemies are made a footstool beneath His feet.

We are engaged in the battle whether we realise it or not. What we do and say each day is all part of the context of this great battle that is being waged in the heavenly realm. Our words are weapons of great power yet most of the time we do not realise this at all. Satan however, does realise it!

This post is not to be about Satan our enemy, but about us. We are the apple of Father’s eye, we are His prized possession and He intends for us to overcome the foe. This blacksmith who blows in the coals, God has created. He has put us into the same arena, the same realm as this fallen cherub, that we might overcome him. His(Satan’s) weapons and wisdom are far greater than anything man can combat since man fell from his position as ruler of all the Universe.

I shared recently about shame and the new man that we are. Shame is one such mighty weapon of Satan that has shot many righteous sons down. But I want to encourage myself and all my brethren that this weapon is working for us a far greater weight of glory! The weapons of Satan, that always seem to overcome us, are working for us instead. Every negative thing he desires us to fall into shall instead cause us to arise in Christ our life, and appropriate by faith the opposite characteristic.

We are always led to triumph over evil. Overcome evil with good,- Paul said. Of course if someone does any evil act against us, we are to respond in the opposite spirit, for we are of another Spirit than evil. However, when that evil is in the form of thoughts, it is not always easy to discern that it is not us thinking them. This is the “be renewed in the spirit of your mind”, that Paul was talking about in Ephesians when he wrote

Eph 4:17 This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind,
Eph 4:18 having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart;
Eph 4:19 who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
Eph 4:20 But you have not so learned Christ,
Eph 4:21 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus:
Eph 4:22 that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts,
Eph 4:23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
Eph 4:24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. nkjv

What does that mean to be renewed in the spirit of your mind? In the context above, it means to be continuously renewed in the spirit or deep place or attitude of your mind to the truth.  The truth you have learned  is not simply about Jesus Christ, but Jesus Christ in you!  Not dead letter truth, but living word truth. Christ your new life truth. You and He being one spirit truth. Be being renewed in the spirit of your mind to The Truth of the New Creation that you are now…no longer thinking those old thought patterns which are the deceptions of Satan through the flesh’s desires.

the old man which grows corrupt according to the  deceitfulG539 lusts;G1939

G539-apatē:- delusion: – deceit (-ful, -fulness), it comes from G538-apataō -(Strong) to cheat, that is, delude: – deceive.(Thayer-to cheat, beguile, deceive)

G1939 epithumia– desire, craving, longing, lust//to set the heart upon, that is, long for

Can you see how subtle the enemies tactics are against us? The Old Man is defined as growing corrupt according to the deceitful lusts. To long for something is not necessarily wrong. But the longings of the Old Man are a delusion..they cheat us and deceive us for we never can be satisfied by getting our desire as long as we think we are still that Old Man.

Satan knows that we are a New Man. He knows we belong to Christ Jesus. But he wants us to continue to think and imagine and speak Old Man thoughts and words and deeds. All his efforts are to that end. When he accuses, he accuses the actions of the Old Man, whether they are words or deeds or lack of deeds. He knows he cannot do a thing against Christ Who is our New Man. So instead, all his warfare is against the Old Man—that, by the way friend does not even exist in reality anymore! It is all propaganda and false flag events. Your Old Man- the old “I” is dead and buried- gone! Your Old Man is not you…you are the New Man- Christ in you!

Arrows of shame aimed at your mind took root in the thinking of your Old Man way before you encountered the Love of God in Christ Jesus. When you were only a little boy or girl, Shame came and put it’s mark on you. It told you you were separate from all others and you had better measure up in this world or you will look a fool to everyone. It continuously propagandised your mind. “Be good, be good,- don’t be bad,” is a mantra of the Old Man. He does not even realise that he chants it incessantly. It is a life principle of all those outside of Christ..”Be good to get what you want”…or….”Be bad to get what you desire”…Either way, it is all of the Old Man who grows more and more corrupt like it’s inventor and master- Satan.

As I said, Satan knows that in reality we are ONLY a New Man. He knows that in reality there are NOT TWO OF ME in this body…the Old Man and the New Man. He knows that. He also knows whether we live according to the New Man or not. Every time we feel condemned or accused and defeated…it is Satan pointing at our Old Man, telling us we are that Old Man.

Yet Paul says  “be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.”

Renewed- rejuvenated- made young again in the mind. Something that is old, like a wine-skin becomes tough and hardened and not very usable. It needs to be softened and renewed again. Youth have quick sharp minds. Paul says, be being renewed. This is the work of the Spirit in our spiritual mind. Ask Him to give you a spirit of wisdom and a spirit of revelation in the knowledge of Him. He is the New Man. It is the knowledge of the New Man (you in Christ and Christ in you) that He will enlighten your eyes to see and know.

He does all this through the Word of God, which is

“living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Heb 4:12

The Lord wants us to overcome and He has equipped us to do it. He is with us to the end of the Age…not up in a heaven somewhere beyond the galaxies…but in you, in your spirit! He has given Himself to you, to always be your Teacher, your Friend, your very SELF. He is teaching us that we are in Him. The truth is in Jesus…and we have heard Him by the spirit and come to Him by faith.

We walk by His faith, trusting always that He shall do all things well for us and for God’s purposes. There is no defeat that is not working for us. There is nothing that happens to us that is without reason. God is our life.

Recognise that when any thought comes that is blaming and condemning you, making you feel inferior as a person…it is not from God, not from your heart…but is a whisper from the dark heart of Satan.

Reject it steadfast in the Faith. That arrow is in a dead Man. You are not any longer that man. You are a New Man in Christ Jesus- totally pleasing to the Father.

This is putting on the New Man who is renewed in knowledge. The New Man carries within Him all knowledge…not the head knowledge of the world- but the spiritual- life and Love knowledge of the Father…the knowledge of the Father!! Oh shout for joy! The New Man is Jesus Himself, but it is now YOU! No one knows the FATHER except the son and the one whom the sons reveals Him to…that is you brother, sister…In the New Man we have access to the Father by ONE spirit…your spirit!!

This renewed knowledge is the heart and mind of Jesus Christ, now your heart and your mind!

What knowledge is that? Read everything Jesus said in John about Himself and His relationship to the Father…it is all about your relationship and your self. Read all that Paul wrote of Christ in us and us in Him. All those things Paul taught in the Churches, laboring to birth Christ in them that He be fully formed in them. The mystery , which is Christ in you…HIM WE TEACH.

Christ in you is what Paul taught everywhere, for Christ is the New Man that has overcome sin and death and all the tactics of the enemy. I am, and You are, that Man!
