Who are the lawless ones?

Could it be that those who insist on keeping the Law are the lawless ones? Many accusations are thrown at people who preach Grace by the Law keeper section of the church. They love to quote the anomia word as in Matthew 7:23 and other places. It is true that Grace is not a license to sin. But on the other hand trying to “live for God” by keeping laws does away with the Grace of God altogether. So we have two camps of people, one majors upon Grace and the other upon Law. Who is right?

The issue here is not who is right or who is wrong. The issue is always Jesus Christ Himself. That whole world of right and wrong died when you died on the cross. It appears to be carrying on everyday…but the substance is Christ Jesus.

The true reality in which we live is Jesus Himself. The pretender reality is right and wrong.

The one who has died and now lives only inside of Jesus is living in true reality.

The one who imagines that the Christian life is doing good and not doing bad- lives in unreality, some place God does not inhabit.

The one in Jesus knows he can do nothing of himself therefore he is not trying hard to be like Jesus. He rests in the certain knowledge that he already is like Jesus by God’s doing not his own.

The one trying to be like Jesus thinks that in himself there is some ability to be like God. He imagines that Jesus lived this way too. He thinks that Jesus was a good man who chose moment by moment to do good and not to do bad. Nothing is further from the truth!!

Oh you say…”Are you saying Jesus was a bad man then?”

God is Good. No one is good but God. And Jesus like us had died to any idea that He of His own self could do anything. “I of mine own self can do nothing!!”

Act 10:38  how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

God was with Jesus. God is with you. The difference is that one imagines that in himself he has ability  to do good–while another has come to see that he has NO ABILITY WHATSOEVER so do anything of himself. That all he does is the outflow of God’s Spirit.

The wilderness is for us to learn that we can do nothing of ourselves.

All this is important to answer the question ‘who are the lawless ones’?

The ones who run around trying to be like the Jesus they imagine to have been a good man–these are the lawless ones.

The ones trying to keep laws and not break laws, these are the lawless ones.

The ones who see themselves as separate individuals who have the responsibility to be good before God–these are the lawless ones.

The ones who imagine that they have a sinful heart which they must try very hard to clean up–these are the lawless ones.

The ones who imagine Jesus far away up in the sky who will come back one day to sit upon a throne in a temple in Jerusalem -these are the lawless ones.

Jesus says depart from me for I never knew you.

You see, you only exist in God and nowhere else.

If you insist on imagining yourself to be next to God, trying to be closer to Him, then you are already in outer darkness!

If you imagine that Jesus is far away and God is watching your performance so He can judge you on it, then you already dwell in Gehenna, in torment and agony of soul.

I never knew you!!

2Co 13:4  For though He was crucified in weakness, yet He lives by the power of God. For we also are weak in Him, but we shall live with Him by the power of God toward you.
2Co 13:5  Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified.

The verses above are exactly what Jesus was saying in Matthew 7:23.

We are in UNION with Jesus. We are the weak one that lives ONLY by the power of God in us. It is Galatians 2:20 lived out in truth.

Gal 2:19  For I through the law died to the law that I might live to God.
Gal 2:20  I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
Gal 2:21  I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.”

Being lawless then, is to imagine yourself to be separate from Jesus having the responsibility to be a good Christian.

These lawless ones , throw stones at those found only inside of Jesus. They cannot tolerate those who rest in Him because they themselves know NO rest.

But God loves all, and brings all to Himself through fire if need be…and fire is needed to for all of us in order to burn away the chaff and expose the true in each of us….setting us free into the liberty of being ONE with Him.

Bless you!!

You can only be yourself

Tonight on the “The Voice Australia ™” the judging panel told a contestant he needed to be more self assured because he is really talented. They said he needed to “be himself and not try to be someone else“. His reply was tremendous.

I am being myself! This is what I am like. I am always unsure of myself.

The world does not like lack of self assurance, especially in a potential celebrity. But hey, it is from that place of self doubt that the artist digs deep to find answers for himself and others.

Those who are forgiven much love much said Jesus.

Blessed are the poor in spirit He said.

The self assured are sometimes the self deceived.

Paul said “He who thinks himself to be something when he is nothing deceives himself.”

You see our outer man may be a mess at times and confident at other times…but that is not where we get our full identity from.

It is the inner person of the heart that is our true nature and being.

And for the believer that means that Christ Jesus IS THAT INNER MAN.

Thus even though my outer man may appear to be unsure and timid and weak and lowly or self assured….it is my inner spirit man that is constantly resting in and finding it’s Life in Jesus.

We do not try to change our outer man in order to be pleasing to God. If He wants us to be a dithering idiot then that is what we shall stay. We can be an idiot for Him. The proud man shall quickly brush us off as unimportant and not someone he wants to be around. But other dithering idiots and weak minded people will find comfort by being with us, for Jesus is in us, being us.

We imagine that by coming to Jesus He is going to make us like Himself through giving us power to change our behaviour for the better. We see Him in the Scriptures and we see ourselves and the difference seems to be massive.

So we lament our weakness and our failings and desperately try to get some help from God to be a good person like we imagine Jesus did.

That is not how Jesus was or even now how He is.

Jesus meant it, really meant it when He said often The Son CAN DO NOTHING OF HIMSELF.

He also admitted freely that there is no one who is good except God. There was nothing within Jesus himself separate from Father that had any ability to be good or to obey God. NOTHING!

But Jesus was not alone in himself was He? We know that. He was filled with God’s Person in His S/spirit.

Yet in being filled with God He did not view HImself as a separate entity from God, but as ONE perfect human being. His perfection was ALL because of Father in Him.

His ability was ALL because of FATHER in Him.

His wisdom and love and kindness and mercy were all there because of Father in Him. None of those fruits were his own as if they came from Jesus son of Mary after many years of saying no to his flesh and yes to God.

The OBEDIENCE God is looking for is not obeying rules but is an obedience of faith.

With our eyes we still see a weak human being when we see ourselves. We know that we fail daily to obey. But when we catch a hold of the thing God HImaself has done in us we REST in Him DESPITE the mess our outer man may be in.
This can be seen with Abraham…who did not consider his aging body..but walked by faith in what God had said of him.

What has God said of you and me?

The list is too long to put here but the bottom line is that He says we are perfect and just like Jesus.

So we do not spend any time trying to change our outer man. We look not at the things that are perishing and that are temporal. We look at Jesus. Where is He? In you of course. You are the visible manifestation of Jesus Christ in the heavens and the earth…right now…right here in this life. Yes we know that the contrary things about our humanity say the opposite….but His faith carries us and urges us to believe.

You can get on that works bandwagon and try to stop your fleshy self from manifresting. But when you think you have gotten rid of one button on your back…another button pops up some where else for the Devil to push. This is an endless cycle of distraction keeping you a slave to the Old Man who can never please God no matter how good he becomes. God KILLED YOUR OLD MAN AT THE CROSS!! So why are you trying to fix him up all the time. Let him be himself, but you come and follow Me says Jesus.

If you unsure of yourself all the time….no matter…be unsure but say of your unsure self that you are one with Jesus and held in Father’s heart of love. God will do any changing in your outer man only as you believe that you are conformed to His image right now.

Jesus is happy being you

You may not know this but Jesus is happy being you. He is happy walking about through life in this world as you. How can I say such a thing? Because that is the heart of the New Covenant God has made with us who believe in the Seed of Abraham.

Under the Old Covenant it was up to the people to make sure they kept their side of the agreement. They made a vow to serve God , to obey Him in everything, to love Him with their whole heart, mind and strength. If they failed to keep their side of the covenant then God was under NO OBLIGATION to fulfill His side.

If we fail to keep our side of the Old Covenant then we make ourselves transgressors of the Law and shall be treated according to the Law.

But if instead we agree with God that we cannot keep the Law and need to be saved we are ready to enter into the New Covenant God has promised to fulfill Himself.

God made the New Covenant in Jesus Christ the Man. He made it between Himself and Jesus–a Man. The ONLY Man who has perfectly kept the Law and perfectly obeyed  through FAITH.

Yet Jesus Himself did not obey a book of Laws..He was just a man, weak and MORTAL. It was the Father in Him Who was ONE spirit with Jesus W/who obeyed…or rather W/who lived.

Jesus lived perfect because Father was His Life living perfect as Him.

Jesus was not separated from God …trying to obey God in every moment…as if He were saying to Himself in any given moment – “What would Father do?” Oh no….Jesus did not have to stop and see God for each word and each decision. He simply believed. It was a settled matter. What was?

That just as the Father is, so am I in this world.

Jesus and the Father walked together as ONE…yet two…by the S/spirit union within Him.

AND IT IS JUST THE SAME WITH US!!

The New Covenant is fulfilled in us who believe that Jesus Christ is ONE SPIRIT WITH US.

So that we do not have to always be checking in with Jesus for what to do and what to say….we be ourselves trusting that in being ourselves, He is being Himself as us.

For John said that :- “Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.”  1Jn 4:17

AS JESUS IS SO ARE WE HERE NOW IN THIS WORLD!

If that wasn’t momentously stupendous enough it is equally true the other way around…

AS WE ARE SO JESUS IS IN THIS WORLD!

God is not ashamed to call us brethren. We are as He is–by the faith of Jesus in us–by the life of Jesus which has become our only life–our inner person–the new creation man….created in true holiness and true righteousness according to the image of Jesus Christ.

But equally true is it the other way. Just as we find ourselves to be in any given moment, through sickness and health, poverty and shame, fame and riches, trauma, boredom and pain….in all life’s moments and long years of barrenness….JESUS IS AS WE ARE IN THIS WORLD! He is one spirit inside you. He knew what He was getting involved in when He came into your spirit. He sees you perfect through eyes of faith and so should we see ourselves.

Jesus is pleased to be conformed to your image, to your likeness, trusting Himself to the Father every step W/we take together as a perfect union of two.

Jesus presents you before the throne perfect and blameless —not through works of righteousness which we have done, but by His indwelling Life which is the only righteousness that matters.

How does such inward knowledge become a settled faith fact in us?

Through coming to the total end of ourselves. Coming to see that we really have no ability to please God in any way. We have no ability to do anything for God. None!

That is half of the process. The other bit is to take it by faith. To accept the truth of what God has done.

Galatians 2:20 must be truth to us which is personal.

Gal 2:20

I am crucified with Christ:

nevertheless I live;

yet not I,

but Christ liveth in me:

and the life which I now live in the flesh

I live by the faith of the Son of God,

who loved me, and gave himself for me.

There does not need to be any fanfare or any feelings about it. Just accept it as your permanent reality in Him. Notice the present tense? This is your reality right now despite what you might think. Despite what others may say about you. Also please notice that the life you now live, you live by the faith of Jesus. You do not live by your own separate faith, but His faith. There is no faith to work up..there is no need to feel like you are deficient so that you make yourself try harder. Just accept that He is you only faith, your only Life, the real person living as you is Jesus and you together as one.

Yet there is more!

There is more to this mystery because Jesus said there is.

He said that “In that day you shall know that I am in the Father, and you in Me, and I in you.” Jn 14:20

That day of knowing can be today.

Meditate upon that verse…I dare you. Try and work it out mentally.

Jesus is in Father

You are in Jesus who is in Father. That means you are in the Father too, in Jesus….and Jesus is in you, while you are in Him and He is in Father.

What does that look like?

YOU!!

WHAT DOES GOD LOOK LIKE?

YOU!!

WHAT DOES GOD SOUND LIKE?

YOU!!

<AS WE ARE SO IS HE IN THIS WORLD//…=…\AS HE IS SO ARE WE IN THIS WORLD>!!!

Beware what you say about rulers

I guess in every age the body of people have had many reasons to speak evil of their rulers. Yet God says in His Law

“You shall not revile God, nor curse a ruler of your people. Exo 22:28 NKJV

According to Strong revile is the word qâlal which means: to be (causatively make) light, literally (swift, small, sharp, etc.) or figuratively (easy, trifling, vile, etc.): – abate, make bright, bring into contempt, (ac-) curse, despise, (be) ease (-y, -ier), (be a, make, make somewhat, move, seem a, set) light (-en, -er, ly, -ly afflict, -ly esteem, thing), X slight [-ly], be swift (-er), (be, be more, make, re-) vile, whet.

When reading that list of synonyms in regard to how we speak about God we may be astonished that anyone would do it. But to revile rulers in that way is accepted by many. Yet rulers or authorities are appointed or ordained by God Himself therefore to revile rulers is the same as if one were reviling God!

Let’s look at a few synonyms and see if the Lord would grant us conviction and repentance?

Make light of a Ruler

Rulers are appointed by God and deserve honour. To make light of them is to insult God.

Treat as unimportant.
synonyms: play down, downplayunderstateunderrate, rate too low, not do justice to, do an injustice to, underplayde-emphasizeunderemphasizetrivializeminimizediminishdowngradereducelessen, brush aside, gloss over, shrug off;

Whenever we engage in talk about leaders or God or even His Word in a way that makes light of them we are reviling them and diminishing them. We are downgrading them and doing them an injury. Even though those who write in the Media say such things we are not to.

Bring into contempt or despise Rulers

Again to cast aspersions upon a Ruler treating them as dirt is to despise them. We may not agree with what they do, but to despise someone is to hate them.

Moses also wrote that we are not to curse a ruler of your people.

Curse here is from ‘ârar and means to execrate: -bitterly curse.

The Media are well practised at writing and saying terrible things about Politicians in our day. And in fact the Politicians themselves speak in the same way about their peers when debating. This leads to a downfall for everyone when leaders speak evil of leaders with no respect for the office that they stand in….an office given them from God.

Thus they disrespect God and each other.  We are not to join in with them even though they themselves do it.

Jude says that   Likewise also these dreamers defile the flesh, reject authority, and speak evil of dignitaries. Jud 1:8

These men who speak evil of dignitaries  Jude says are  “… men(who) have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ.  Jude 1:4

Jude goes on to describe them and their end..

Jud 1:10  But these speak evil of whatever they do not know; and whatever they know naturally, like brute beasts, in these things they corrupt themselves.
Jud 1:11  Woe to them! For they have gone in the way of Cain, have run greedily in the error of Balaam for profit, and perished in the rebellion of Korah.
Jud 1:12  These are spots in your love feasts, while they feast with you without fear, serving only themselves. They are clouds without water, carried about by the winds; late autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, pulled up by the roots;
Jud 1:13  raging waves of the sea, foaming up their own shame; wandering stars for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever.
Jud 1:14  Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints,
Jud 1:15  to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.”
Jud 1:16  These are grumblers, complainers, walking according to their own lusts; and they mouth great swelling words, flattering people to gain advantage.

I myself am one of these grumblers! I myself am one of these wandering stars! I cannot deny or escape the clear fact that this passage directly describes me! 😦

So be it Holy Lord, SO be it! What can I say in my own defence?

Nothing can be said except, “It is a true judgement of me Lord Jesus–I repent, I am sorry, please grant me mercy and grace to change to be delivered from this spirit of contempt and pride!”

The way of Cain who hated his brother, being envious of his sacrifice and also angry at God. Who refused to be his brothers keeper preferring to look out only for himself. A life of prayer spent on self and self’s own interests, while your neighbours and friends and family go un-prayed for.

Samuel the prophet said 1Sa 12:23  Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you; but I will teach you the good and the right way.

The error of Balaam–a prophet of God who went after personal gain instead of the heart of God. A man who wanted above all to be famous and to have a ministry as a prophet of God. To have people say–wow a prophet of God!! Who for money used his gift to glorify himself.

The rebellion of Korah who rose up against Moses and spoke evil of him…and thus spoke evil of God for God had appointed Moses. A man who took his whole family with him to destruction because of this witchcraft and rebellion.

Is there any repentance for people like this…for me?

Jud 1:19  These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit.

These ones would hold doctrine above love and thus their doctrines would be the cause of divisions.

Resisting the authority

The Bible tells us that the authority that now exists is appointed by God. This simple statement of God’s mind is very clear. That means that if we live in a nation which is governed by a corrupt authority which oppresses it’s citizens that authority was APPOINTED BY GOD.

Therefore the issue is not the corruption of that Government but why we have such a Government.

Whenever we find ourselves under the authority of a murderous government that conspires to kill us or steal from us or to destroy us in some way we must remember that it was appointed by God. Sobering thought!!

Rom 13:1  Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.

And do not forget that Paul was writing to those Christians living in Rome, the very seat of the Government which was killing Christians. Paul did not tell them to try to overthrow the Government but to submit themselves under it as unto God.

When the Lord Jesus was brought before Pilate He told Pilate that he would not have any authority at all EXCEPT IT WERE GIVEN HIM FROM GOD.

Joh 19:10  So Pilate said to Him, “You aren’t speaking to me? Don’t You know that I have the authority to release You, and I have the authority to crucify You?”
Joh 19:11  Yeshua answered, “You would have no authority over Me if it hadn’t been given to you from above. For this reason, the one who handed Me over to you has the greater sin.”

Again Jesus statement agrees with Paul — that all authority exists because God has appointed it. Jesus submitted Himself under the Father , but also under the earthly authority so far as possible. Nothing Jesus did broke the law of God….but declaring Himself to be a King was the grounds that the Jews used to get Him killed.

Joh 19:12  Pilate tried to let Him go after this; but the Judean leaders cried out, saying, “If you release this Man, you are no friend of Caesar. Everyone who makes himself a king speaks against  Caesar!

Even though Jesus was under authority it could not be helped that eventually what He said would speak against the ruler. The clash of two kingdoms was at hand. But it was not the time for His Kingdom to rule over men in the physical world. For the time being He was under their authority for them to do to Him as they willed—which was really what the Father planned all along anyway.

Today we live under the authority of the government of men…men who are ruled by Satan…but both men and Satan are under God’s supreme authority.

The government’s of the nations are under the authority of hidden rulers in high places who are plotting our enslavement and destruction. Yet those Governments would not exist unless God had given them that authority. All that they do God shall cause to work together for good in the lives of His elect ones. And in the end God shall hold them accountable for any abuse of authority.

So we can be confident that God is in control even though we find ourselves seemingly in the grip of an evil authority. God shall win and we shall shine.

But if we resist the authority that God has appointed we receive judgement to ourselves.

Rom 13:2  Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment(krima) on themselves

Whoever ranges oneself against or positions oneself against God’s appointed authority will bring judgement upon himself.  That judgement does not have to mean that you will go to jail. It can simply mean that you get attacked in the soul realm …what intercessors call receiving Kick-Back.

Kick Back

Receiving Kick Back from opposing the powers of darkness is a sure sign that you are out of order. It may mean that you have been setting yourself up against God’s appointed authority. There is an authority structure in place in God’s creation. Evil powers have their own place in that structure which means they have been appointed by God. Why?

Rom 13:4  For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil.

For instance, just because you may know that a group of people practice witchcraft or satanism does not automatically give you the right to go and pray against that coven or group. This principle is seen in the seven sons of Sceva story when the demons in the one being delivered caused that man to rise up and beat the 7 men trying to deliver him. They were defeated and shamed by those demons for they did not have the authority to do it.

Also when Israel went up against Ai after failing to believe Joshua and Caleb in Numbers 13, God was not with them and so the kings of Ai defeated the children of Israel in that war.

Suffering for doing good is okay…but suffering kickback because you are out of God’s established authority structure is foolishness. Knowing our sphere and our position in the Kingdom saves us from doing these things.

The enemy knows that we shall come under judgement if we rebel against authority so he tempts us to do just that. Speaking against God’s appointed authority is a form of rebellion. Therefore the enemy must get us speaking against the authority to bring us into Judgement and thus nullify us effectively bringing us on to his team.

I have often wondered why Jesus did not expose the authorities for what historians have told us they were doing. Most of those in leadership were involved in all sorts of sin. Yet Jesus never said anything. He upbraided the Pharisees for sure, but in a way that was not condemning. He said what He said in Matt 23 to give them opportunity to repentance. He did not judge their hearts and condemn them.

Even so today, there is much being revealed about the secret goings-on behind Government figures. It may be true and it may not be. The point is though that these authorities are appointed by God. Thus they answer to God not to you and me. They need our compassion and prayers even though it may be obvious that they do not deserve any. That is why it is called MERCY. If they have shown no mercy God shall decide what happens to them.

God is the One who raises up one and puts down another as Daniel was told in his time. He does not need Robin Hood types who think they can rebel against His appointed authority as if God were on their side. This kind of rebellion was in Judas Iscariot’s heart. He wanted Jesus to throw off the authority of the Roman Empire not submit under it. He ended up joining with the enemy and paid the price.

When we understand that God has placed these authorities over us for a reason we submit to them as unto God. God is sovereign and He is able to protect you even though the authority may be out to kill you unjustly. However if you rebel against that authority by breaking laws or speaking against that authority then you shall receive judgement to your self.

We must have patience to endure and wait to see the outcome God has in mind and not take matters into our own hands.

A rebuilt Temple does away with Jesus

I notice that Israelis are comparing Pres. Donald Trump with King Cyrus saying that Trump’s declaration of Jerusalem being the capital of the world is the same as Cyrus’ calling to restore Jerusalem.

One such Israeli group has minted a silver coin to commemorate Trump’s declaration on Jerusalem which he announced December 6th 2017.(The date equates to 12/6=666)

Christian Zionists believe in a rebuilt Jewish Temple. Do they realise that the whole book of Hebrews was written AGAINST such a return to the Temple? Also that Galatians was also written to come against the return to Judaism by Christians?

If God wants a Temple in Jerusalem then there is no need for Jesus or for the Church which is His body…or Temple.

In this day in which we live we are seeing Jesus usurped again by those who say they are  Jews and are not. We are also again seeing the betrayal of Jesus by his trusted disciple Judas Iscariot. Today most of the Christian Church supports Israel and the Jews rather than Jesus. Of course we as believers love all people. But we are not called to support what they do if it is contrary to Jesus.

Jerusalem in Palestine is in bondage with her children and Paul said she and her child are to be cast out.

Gal 4:24  “….For these are the two covenants: the one from Mount Sinai which gives birth to bondage, which is Hagar—
Gal 4:25  for this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia, and corresponds to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children—
Gal 4:26  but the Jerusalem above is free, which is the mother of us all.

Gal 4:30  Nevertheless what does the Scripture say? “CAST OUT THE BONDWOMAN AND HER SON, FOR THE SON OF THE BONDWOMAN SHALL NOT BE HEIR WITH THE SON OF THE FREEWOMAN.”

Gal 4:31  So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman but of the free.

Believers in Jesus are not of Jerusalem over there in the Middle East. We are of the Jerusalem above…the Jerusalem that is free.  The Jerusalem below is doomed to be cast out. Supporting her and her children in their quest to usurp Jesus as King and to usurp His body/church’ role as His dwelling place and Temple is a BETRAYAL of Jesus.

Do not join with them…for their blood will be on your hands if you do.

If it had not been the Lord who was on our side

Let Israel now say….If it had not been the LORD who was on our side.

Can’t we all say that who have come to trust in the God of the SEED of father Abraham? Yes we certainly can my friend. Those who are in Christ are in Abraham’s SEED –Therefore we are Israel who are IN Jesus Christ the seed of Abraham. I make that point because many may read this psalm and think that where David says “Let Israel now say-” that it only applies to “Natural” Israel.

Psa 124:1  A Song of Ascents. Of David.

“If it had not been the LORD who was on our side,” Let Israel now say
Psa 124:2  “If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, When men rose up against us,
Psa 124:3  Then they would have swallowed us alive, When their wrath was kindled against us;
Psa 124:4  Then the waters would have overwhelmed us, The stream would have gone over our soul;
Psa 124:5  Then the swollen waters Would have gone over our soul.”
Psa 124:6  Blessed be the LORD, Who has not given us as prey to their teeth.
Psa 124:7  Our soul has escaped as a bird from the snare of the fowlers; The snare is broken, and we have escaped.
Psa 124:8  Our help is in the name of the LORD, Who made heaven and earth.

We are the inheritors of the Promise made to Abraham for God promised Abraham that in his SEED all the nations of the earth would be blessed. Certainly Jesus is that righteous SEED and we who are His by faith are the very means by which God blesses the nations on the earth.

Gal 3:16  Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “AND TO YOUR SEED,” who is Christ.

Gal 3:29  And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise

Men rise up against us…but we know our battle is not against men but who is influencing and controlling them in the unseen realm.

These powers of darkness hunt us like trappers and we their prey. They would swallow us alive with their filth and their vomit…bitterness, defilement and condemnation are their weapons. If it had not been the LORD who was in our midst and with us and on our side they would surely have captured us and imprisoned us as slaves.

They secretly lay traps for us to walk into…but the Lord is on our side and provides a way of escape.

Our soul has escaped as a bird from the snare of the fowlers.

Jesus has set us free to sing a new song unto Him…like a bird set free.

We fly on eagles wings with our Lord high in the thermals of His ascending love…..lifting others up and setting others free who have been snared by the fowlers.

Jesus our Deliverer…our Snare Breaker…our Rock above the flood proceeding from the mouth of the enemy…Our Help is in the name of Jesus Christ! Our Soul Saver!! The One who is on our side!

Psalm 142 a prayer in distress

Psa 142:1  A Contemplation Of David. A Prayer When He Was in the Cave.

I cry out to the LORD with my voice; With my voice to the LORD I make my supplication.
Psa 142:2  I pour out my complaint before Him; I declare before Him my trouble.
Psa 142:3  When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, Then You knew my path. In the way in which I walk They have secretly set a snare for me.
Psa 142:4  Look on my right hand and see, For there is no one who acknowledges me; Refuge has failed me; No one cares for my soul.
Psa 142:5  I cried out to You, O LORD: I said, “You are my refuge, My portion in the land of the living.
Psa 142:6  Attend to my cry, For I am brought very low; Deliver me from my persecutors, For they are stronger than I.
Psa 142:7  Bring my soul out of prison, That I may praise Your name; The righteous shall surround me, For You shall deal bountifully with me.”

The best that the enemy can do is oppress your soul—your outer man. He can not touch your spirit–your inner man. Thus the oppression sent against you is sent against your soul–your emotions and your mind. So sometimes we find that we cannot pray with freedom. We cannot praise or worship. Our soul is in prison as it were.  So David cried out to the Lord…so should we.

He says his spirit was “overwhelmed within me.” The Hebrew word here means to shroud or clothe…hence darkness…to cover over.

When the enemy makes war against you he seeks to overwhelm your inner man–your Ruach or spirit. He does this by throwing a cloak of darkness over us in the form of complaints and troubles. When we cannot see clearly to give thanks to God we end up complaining instead. We feel vexed and abandoned by God….so we stop praising Him. The enemy nullifies us.

But all it takes is for us to choose to lift up our voice in praise. To choose to give Him thanks. To choose to sing a new song to our Jesus.

Everything may say no…That is when we must choose to do something. God does not want us in prison!

The rains are here

Thanks to the remnants of tropical cyclone Marcus we had a full day of rain yesterday- 26th March. Back on the 13th February a farmer had randomly told me that the Easter Lillies had sprung up from the ground meaning that it would rain in about 6 weeks time. We have not had a drop of rain until yesterday…and it took a wandering cyclone which tracked all the way from Northern Queensland , through Darwin and down the coast of Western Australia to bring it.

I wrote back on the 13th Feb:

These lilies are also a sign of coming rain–or so I was told today. A farmer told me the rains will begin in around 6 weeks…..27th March.

Good Friday is the 30th March…so we shall wait with expectation for the rains of the Holy Spirit to begin falling in a fresh and powerful way!

Come Holy Spirit, Come…fall upon this dry land of Australia! Fall upon the thirsty hearts and bring repentance and faith in Jesus the Christ. Come sweet Spirit and cleanse this land –raise up the Lord Jesus on High over Australia. Let a mighty revival begin…let it begin in me O Lord! Save your people–save your people with your mighty arm.

The Cyclone formed in the Timor sea on the 14th March as a Low pressure system then hit Darwin as a Category 2 cyclone on Saturday 17th March. Then tracked WSW out into the Indian Ocean before travelling 3000km down the coast towards Perth where it turned back into a low pressure system. It got to level 5 as a Cyclone out at sea.

Marcus means Hammer.

Jer 50:23  How the hammer of the whole earth has been cut apart and broken! How Babylon has become a desolation among the nations! I have laid a snare for you;

Jer 50:24  You have indeed been trapped, O Babylon, And you were not aware; You have been found and also caught, Because you have contended against the LORD.
Jer 50:25  The LORD has opened His armory, And has brought out the weapons of His indignation; For this is the work of the Lord GOD of hosts In the land of the Chaldeans.
Jer 50:26  Come against her from the farthest border; Open her storehouses; Cast her up as heaps of ruins, And destroy her utterly; Let nothing of her be left.
Jer 50:27  Slay all her bulls, Let them go down to the slaughter. Woe to them! For their day has come, the time of their punishment.

God says He has laid a snare for Babylon because she has been proud against the LORD (Jer 50:29) The Babylonian Empire which is headed by the USA and it’s allies in nearly every country are falling into God’s snare. The outcome shall see the Babylonian Buffaloes humbled and put down. The time of their rule has finished! The Kingdom of the Saints of the Most High God has come.

The very pride of believing that God is on their side in all that they do shall be their undoing. The hammer of all the earth. Yes yes…ho hum…so America is mighty …big deal! They have been allowed to become mighty so as to be God’s enforcer of prophetic judgements on different nations etc…but that time is come to an end.

Marcus means Mars – god of war,  as well as Hammer. Which to me means a BULLY!

It is time for the Bully to be snared and trapped and put in it’s place. How that plays out is anyone’s guess. One thing is certain though…the MEEK shall inherit the earth and delight themselves in the abundance of peace. Ps 37. Bullies do not inherit the earth. Those who are always trying to dominate others shall find themselves being humiliated. Those who always spout off about being the First, the greatest…shall be the put down lower and be the least…just ask Cassius Clay.

Every world champion should know when to retire…but unfortunately pride goads them on to fight another war. But this next war will see them shamed and humbled for God shall stand up against them and knock the weapons from their hands.

Slay the bulls–bullies.

This does not have to end in bloodshed…but bullies can be saved and war averted.
