Is your pastor blocking the door to the baptism in the Holy Spirit

[Music] hey it’s uh the 19th of September 2023. you know it’s amazing the patterns that God has placed in his word [Music] for us to learn by and it’s like a blueprint of the purposes of God for our life one of the things I saw this morning when I was looking at numbers 13 and 14. when the children of Israel [Music] refused to enter into the Promised Land they rebelled and they were afraid of the Giants in the land and they said let us, let us choose a leader for ourselves and go back to Egypt. so Moses was called of God.. and the word of God  was revealed to Moses [Music] but the people would rather choose their own leader, someone who isn’t hearing the word of God, someone wise, perhaps according to the human wisdom, I don’t know who they would have chosen. Joshua and Caleb were both leaders of their tribes. so there were 10 other tribes there, ten other leaders, perhaps they were going to choose one of them to lead them back into slavery? and it’s quite amazing that Israel after Passover were basically chased by Pharaoh into the Red Sea, they had no choice and they went through the waters of the Red Sea which for us speaks of the water baptism [Music].

and on the other side of the sea they saw their enemies, were dead,  a thing of the past, which is what water baptism uh signifies symbolically, and then God LED them to Mount Sinai where his presence,… Glory came down upon the top of Sinai… thank you… and that was 50 days after Passover which is as we know Pentecost… and so the whole nation was to be baptized into the Holy Spirit and yet again they withdrew in fear… God said don’t let them come near because he already knew what was in their hearts… only Moses went into the cloud on the top of the mountain… which speaks of the day of Pentecost in Acts chapter 2 when fire came down upon their heads like on the top of Mount Sinai [Music].

I mean traditionally people talk about Pentecost as being the time when the law was given… but God said he will write his laws on our hearts… and so the Holy Spirit baptism is given to bring us into the spirit and the spirit into us… totally immersing our soul, our mind, our will, our emotions, into the Holy Spirit.. the spirit of Jesus Christ… and yet only Moses experienced it the rest would rather have Moses speak to them what God Said… and not hear God for themselves… because they were terrified.

so why would they be terrified? because they knew they were sinners.. they believed they were Sinners… even though in typology Passover cleansed them!! Passover made them Justified before God!! Passover cleansed them so they had nothing to fear… if they understood what that Passover Lamb was all about… but it wasn’t given to them to understand …but to us since the cross.

so Passover… your sins were placed upon Jesus Christ and his righteousness was given to you.. so that you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus… because he became sin for you that you might be made the righteousness of God in him.

so then from there you’re quickly to go  through to baptism in water and then on to the next place which was Pentecost and be baptized into the Holy Spirit where the fire of God comes upon you.. John the Baptist said there’s one coming after me whose sandal straps I’m not worthy to untie he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire this winnowing fan is in his hand and he will thoroughly cleanse the threshing floor… and this is what the fire of God in the baptism of the Holy Ghost is designed to do…

and yet when they refused to go into the Promised Land [Music] they they wanted to choose a leader for themselves… they didn’t like God’s leader… they didn’t like the Spirit-filled leader Moses …whose face Shone with the glory of God.. transfigured if you like.. as we see in John 6. …when Moses and Elijah appeared to them on the mountain and they heard the voice of God coming from the glory.. this is my beloved Son hear him… they didn’t want the Spirit-filled leader Moses because this man was crazy!! he walked by faith.. a faith not his own… and he led them into places where, where, they couldn’t cope,, where they realized they couldn’t do it… and they wanted to turn back…

and that was because they were not filled with the Holy Spirit, they were only baptized into the name of Jesus as Acts chapter 8 tells us for the spirit of God had not yet Fallen upon any of them,,, so when the apostles heard… this is Acts chapter 8… I know I’m jumping around but follow me… when they heard that the the whole city of the Samaritans had believed.. they were baptized.. they sent Peter and John and when Peter and John came down there and saw that they hadn’t received the Holy Spirit… they laid hands on every one of them that they too might receive the baptism in the Holy Ghost… and this is why they could not enter into the Promised Land because they hadn’t been baptized in the holy spirit….

so I’m speaking to you brother… I’m speaking to you sister… who relies upon your intellect… who relies upon your non-spirit-filled pastor… who knows nothing of this experience that God wants you to have… and he is standing in the way… he is stopping you from coming through into the glory Realm of the spirit of God [Music]…. you need to go around him.. and climb the top of that mountain and say …

Lord Jesus fill me with your Holy Spirit… I want to go on with you… you know there are blind people leading blind people in the church and you have a responsibility to yourself to go for it in God …don’t listen to these intellectual theological preachers who know nothing of the power of God…. God wants you to enter into the promised land…. and the next step for you if you’ve only ever been baptized in water… if you’ve never spoken in other tongues… you’ve never been baptized into the Holy Ghost… where his presence Embraces you …falls upon you violently… fills your mouth with another language where…

you begin to overflow… where life bubbles up out of your spirit and you begin to speak Praises unto God in a language youve not learned…friend this is for you… and I tell you.. you will not be able to endure the day that is coming if you’ve not been baptized into the Holy Spirit… please do yourself a favor… yield to Jesus and allow him… just ask him…

Lord you know I’m in a church that doesn’t believe that… but I’m hungry for you… I know there’s something lacking… and I’ve been afraid to go that way… but Lord today… Here I Am.. Lord I open my heart to you… take me through into the baptism into your spirit… baptize me Lord Jesus… with the Holy Spirit and with fire… because I need you Lord… I cannot do it on my own… I won’t be able to enter without you… and you want to take me through… so friend hear the word of the Lord today… hear the word of the Lord… and ask him… believing that you have received… and he will give you good things [Music]..
