Our Father in the heavens is love… and so loved us that for us to reject what He wants for us to be and to enjoy grieves Him immensely. How many parents know exactly this grief? You are sharing with God the grief He feels for His children.
The heading says “I was grieved with that generation”. God says that in reference to 80% of His children not believing Him and as a result failing to inherit the promise. Unbelief robbed them. That large number of God’s children, around 3 million failed to enter in at that time. Out of those 3 million only the children and Joshua and Caleb entered later after all those who refused had perished.
The thing that I woke with this morning is this…That generation refused to enter through the DOOR. Entering into the land of Canaan required an entrance through a door. That Door as we know is Jesus Christ. I am grieved in my heart this morning for I know that we are facing the same situation again. 80% of the population could ‘soon’ perish by their OWN CHOOSING before only a remnant(20%) enter in.

“So all the congregation lifted up their voices and cried, and the people wept that night. 2 And all the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron, and the whole congregation said to them, “If only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or if only we had died in this wilderness! 3 Why has the Lord brought us to this land to fall by the sword, that our wives and children should become victims? Would it not be better for us to return to Egypt?” 4 So they said to one another, “Let us select a leader and return to Egypt.”
5 Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children of Israel.
6 But Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, who were among those who had spied out the land, tore their clothes; 7 and they spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying: “The land we passed through to spy out is an exceedingly good land. 8 If the Lord delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us, ‘a land which flows with milk and honey.’ 9 Only do not rebel against the Lord, nor fear the people of the land, for they are our bread; their protection has departed from them, and the Lord is with us. Do not fear them.”
10 And all the congregation said to stone them with stones. Now the glory of the Lord appeared in the tabernacle of meeting before all the children of Israel.
Psalm 95:8
“Do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion,
As in the day of trial in the wilderness,
9 When your fathers tested Me;
They tried Me, though they saw My work.
10 For forty years I was grieved with that generation,
And said, ‘It is a people who go astray in their hearts,
And they do not know My ways.’
11 So I swore in My wrath(grief),
‘They shall not enter My rest.’ ”
That day God swore in His grief they shall not enter in. The truth is they could not enter in through the Door for they had chosen to believe lies and to reject God. They believed God was against them so they wanted to choose another Leader –not Moses–and return to the slavery of Egypt.
The same happened in Genesis.
Noah means REST.
The majority refused to ENTER INTO HIS REST and PERISHED BY THEIR OWN CHOOSING.
God was grieved.
Noah preached God’s love and mercy to them for years but they rejected his message of hope.
Today as always humanity is being brought into great pressure in order to cause us to ONCE AGAIN COME TO THE DOOR.
What will we choose this time. Will we go through the Door of Hope which is Jesus? Or choose fear and rebellion and Perish?
The Ark of Rest(Noah) had three levels…..Just as the Tabernacle has three sections.
Each section has an ENTRY DOOR which is knowing Jesus in an ever Deeper way.
God’s people have mostly rejected Him and live in their understanding just inside the first Door of the Tabernacle.
But God has, through Jesus, brought us all into the 3rd part of the Tabernacle -The Holy of Holies. God has put you into Jesus Christ.
Yet in our heart understanding and imaginations we live outside of that place fearing the Giants of sin and believing the lies(unbelief) that God is against us. So we do not go further in our knowing of God. To go further means we must go lower…at each DOOR. God desires we enter into all the fullness of God – here–now! In actuality we are in that place(Jesus) but not according to our minds–we imagine ourselves to be separated and sinners. God is beckoning to come to the Door….and great pressures are surrounding us to bring us to that Door.
In Noah’s day they scoffed at the message of a flood….which would have saved them through water.
Millions of Christians today reject the Baptism-in-the-Spirit-DOOR….They shall PERISH if they do not enter this DOOR. They simply will not survive WHAT IS COMING. That means that millions and millions of “Christian unbelievers” are going to perish at the DOOR –WHICH THEY HAVE CLOSED BY THEIR OWN CHOICE!!
God beckons them to come through into REST.
Of course there are Billions who have not chosen Jesus the Gate. They are not born again. The Gate to the ARK is still open but they refuse to enter. They too shall perish.
And the 3RD DOOR –called the VEIL into the Holiest IS OPEN AS WELL –for that DOOR is the DOOR INTO HIS REST—Into His own heart where we truly do live in spirit but IMAGINE OURSELVES TO BE ELSEWHERE.
Millions of 2ND DOOR believers who have come into the Spirit of Jesus will choose to come into the Holiest where they are already.
There is ROOM IN THE ARK for all mankind for Father gave us His son to prepare that place for us all….But He will not force you to come through each DOOR.
COME!! COME!! COME!! The Spirit in you says COME! The Spirit in me says COME!
