If you want to walk in peace then we are told to set our mind on the things of the “spirit” and not on things of the “flesh”.
The things of the spirit are life and peace. The things above where Jesus is. Not a place called Heaven…but seeing things from a heavenly perspective.
An Eagle soars high above and has a heavenly perspective…so do we!
The things of the flesh may seem powerful…but they have no life and no peace.
One of the main attack weapons that the enemy uses is the knowledge of what he is doing.
He wants us constantly plugged in to finding out what he is doing because he knows that it will leave us WITHOUT true life and peace.
Peace is a part of our spiritual armour…”shoes shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace” Eph 6:15
And God says: “And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly.” Rom16:20
So peace is actually our defensive posture. The peace of God in our spirit holds us firm..we cannot be moved…or shaken by the scary noise the enemy makes every day through the mouth of his false prophets..the controlled Government- media.
And peace is also our spiritual attack weapon..notice it says in Rom 16:20 that the God of Peace will soon crush Satan underneath YOUR FEET.
Our feet are covered in the good news(gospel) of peace…and that GOOD NEWS is the POWER OF GOD FOR SAVING PEOPLE!!!
In fact the good news of peace with God is what shall crush Satan’s head.
Isaiah said…
Isa 52:7
How beautiful upon the mountains
Are the feet of him who brings good news,
Who proclaims peace,
Who brings glad tidings of good things,
Who proclaims salvation,
Who says to Zion,
“Your God reigns!”
Zion is not modern day Zionism! The god of zionism is seen doing evil continually. No..think of Zion as the remnant of people who know the Lord Jesus in their heart…and those who want to know Him.
Your God reigns Zion!!
Not through violence and oppression but through peace and reconciliation.
When Jesus hung on the cross between heaven and earth God was in him reconciling the whole world of guilty sinners to Himself.
God forgave all of us on the cross. All sin was put on our sacrifice…Jesus! When Jesus died under our sin …all of the charges that were against us were DROPPED!!
God has acquitted us. He has justified us by the blood of the Lamb of God. We are now all invited to come to God through belief in Jesus Christ.
This good news is what releases peace in our heart and sets us free from Satan’s dominion.
But until we actually believe it for ourselves and receive the spirit of Jesus into our heart what God did for us does not do us any good.
You know it’s like some king paid all your debts and then made you an adopted child in his royal family. Now you have become an heir to all the riches of God.
But if you do not know it and do not come to God your father…you will not get to enjoy your new wealth and position.
So… come.
Jesus said no one comes to the Father except through him. John 14:6
Talk to Jesus.
Lord Jesus..I accept you as my Lord and Savior. I accept your death for my sin. Thank you for doing that for me.
Lord I forgive all who have done me wrong. I receive your love into my heart now..show me the Father’s love and peace for me.
Amen.
