His son did go up

My dad in law Norman Henley had two mini strokes today while still in hospital recovering from a fall which broke his patella(kneecap) a few weeks ago. He was admitted to hospital because of the knee injury…but then fell out of bed in the night being disoriented and banged his head on the floor. As a result of the fall he sustained brain bleeding.

But since then he has had a few “turns” mini strokes.

One of Carmel’s sisters is with him in hospital and said today that the test confirmed he had another small bleed on the brain.

Though we believe in healing, Norman wants to go “to be with the Lord”. Hard to pray against a person’s desire!

We are 300km away but began to pray in  tongues together at about 3:30pm.

Carmel was reminded that next to Norman’s bed among all his Bible’s and notes is a plaque that reads –

Dear Lord my only desire is to serve You all my life until You come to take me home”

In the spirit I sensed an oppression on his head but zeroed in to hear the Lord Who speaks to the spirit even while the outer man is perishing.

I sensed that some births are messy and some deaths also….that whether we live or die we are the Lords’.

I heard in prayer that Norman is a sojourner and passing through…that his head is high and lifted up above his enemies round about.

And at the end of prayer I heard the expression  – “a lion’s whelp” .

The Lord Jesus speaks to me through scripture in this way..so I went and looked up the phrase.

Judah is a lion’s whelp from the prey my son thou art gone up he stooped down he couched as a lion and as an old lion who shall rouse him up? Amazing!!
A lion’s whelp (a cub) still abiding in the lair — Norman’s son and youngest child is still living at home. He is like the lion’s cub.

We prayed also at the end of the time of prayer for him who is angry, that “he would be lifted up to see something wonderful happen.”

Norman is also God’s cub or son.

Meaning of Gen 49:9 for Norman

From the “prey” – “means a tear, something torn” – ie, Norman’s brain bleed
“Thou art gone up”…. to go up, ascend, climb, to go up, ascend, to meet, visit, follow, depart,

Norman is going up to God from the tear in his brain.

“he stooped down”
כּרע kâra‛
kaw-rah’
A primitive root; to bend the knee; by implication to sink , to prostrate
KJV Usage: bow (down, self), bring down (low), cast down, couch, fall, feeble, kneeling, sink, smite (stoop) down, subdue, X very.
Norman is bowing down before God, his body is feeble, his outer man is sinking down….

“He couched” – רבץ
râbats
raw-bats’
A primitive root; to crouch (on all four legs folded, like a recumbent animal); by implication to recline , repose brood lurk imbed
crouch (down), fall down, make a fold, lay (cause to, make to) lie (down), make to rest, sit.

Norman fell down , is lying down, is being made to rest…

As an old lion – (great, old, stout) lion,
Norman is an old lion, a great lion, a stout lion!!

A stout lion who God calls his son , his cub, and who has been torn ,,,and from that tear shall arise and go up to His Father even as his body shall fall down and repose in rest.

He does not go out in defeat but in the victory of the Lord Jesus! He goes out in glory, the glory of the Lord Jesus! The Lord is the lifter of Norman’s head, and He causes him to walk on His high places.

One thing I have desired of the Lord,
That will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord
All the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the Lord,
And to inquire in His temple.
For in the time of trouble
He shall hide me in His pavilion;
In the secret place of His tabernacle
He shall hide me;
He shall set me high upon a rock.

And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me;
Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle;
I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.
