Your heart is NOT desperately wicked

Somewhere deep inside the Christian mind(not the mind of Christ)is the notion that our heart is desperately wicked–I want to tell you dear friend, brother or sister that is simply NOT TRUE!!

Is that how you see yourself? I thought that too about myself.

If you call your heart wicked then you are not in agreement with your Father.

Your Father does not see your heart as being desperately wicked. Not at all! Jesus HAS past tense cleansed your heart through His presence.

Your heart has been purified by faith. It is a PERMANENT PURITY…a permanent HOLINESS…it is not temporary from one sin and confession to the next sin and confession. Your heart is the very DWELLING PLACE OF GOD.

God is always pure, always holy, always righteous….is that true or not?

And you are ONE SPIRIT with Jesus Christ according to 1Cor 6:17.

You are also AS JESUS IS according to 1John 4:17.

Jesus is Holy, blameless, beloved, sanctified, just, righteous,…..If He is —so are you right now and always.

Jeremiah 17:9 is not the final word on the condition of your heart.

Your Heart is the place where Jesus dwells….He abides in your heart.

Maybe you think that Jesus is only living in a little part of your heart because the rest of your heart is too dirty for Him?

Where in the Word of God did you get such an idea?

The opposite is true.

Your WHOLE heart is His dwelling place. It does not matter whether you feel like this is true…IT IS TRUE.

The Word of God says so.

The Apostle Peter grew up with silly old testament ideas in his head. God had to challenge these high things and with Peter’s consent, to bring them down to nothing. Peter like all Jews had been in the habit of calling Gentiles unclean and common.

Act 10:28  Then he said to them, “You know how unlawful it is for a Jewish man to keep company with or go to one of another nation. But God has shown me that I should not call any man common or unclean.

God showed Peter that he should not call any man common or unclean. That included HIMSELF. Peter had experienced having his own sins washed away through faith in Jesus Christ. He had experienced the forgiveness of ALL his sins personally. God then expanded that personal application which Peter knew for himself to include ALL PEOPLE out there.

Peter learned to call himself HOLY AND BLAMELESS AND JUST AND INNOCENT all through faith in Jesus Christ. He had to learn to speak against the ACCUSATIONS which pointed out his failures and sins and to boldly declare himself to be pure and holy by the blood washing of Jesus Christ,.

Now God required Peter to apply the same HYSSOP BRUSH dipped in blood to all people.

Acts 11:9  But the voice answered me again from heaven, ‘What God has cleansed you must not call common.’

DO NOT CALL ANY MAN COMMON OR UNCLEAN. INCLUDING YOURSELF! You are not unclean or wicked–you are cleansed by Jesus permanently.

AGAIN….

2Co 5:16  Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer.
2Co 5:17  Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

We are to regard NO ONE ACCORDING TO THE FLESH….Including and most importantly you. You are not in the flesh. You are in the Spirit. Your heart is made new. Your heart is created according to God’s image.

Eph 4:23  and be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
Eph 4:24  and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

You are this new image already IF YOU HAVE JESUS IN YOUR HEART. But even though you are this perfect image…..you and I need to believe it and to declare it out loud with our voice.

We need to be transformed by the renewing of our mind. That happens through speaking those things God says about us.

God says your heart is renewed–He does not say you are wicked. The Accuser-the devil says that–do not agree with him, even if it comes out of the mouth of a preacher.

Your heart is washed and cleansed and purified.

1Co 6:11  And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

The way to get this NEW HEART is to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Believe in Jesus right now. Not the Jesus long ago.

What do I mean by that.

Many believe Jesus was a real person who lived 2000 years ago. That is good, but it cannot be of any real help to you.

Jesus died for your sake, with your sins upon Himself so that your forgiveness could be purchased by His death. He did that for you back then so that when you would be born….you could RECEIVE that forgiveness now 2000 years later. Jesus was raised from the grave by the Father. He is alive. He is a life giving Spirit to all who believe in Him.

How do I receive Jesus? How do I get a new heart filled with Jesus?

All who call upon the Lord shall be saved. Jesus has been given the highest name so that whoever calls upon Him shall not be disappointed.

Simply say – Oh God I need Jesus Christ! I need you Lord Jesus! I believe you are here with me right now PLEASE COME INTO MY HEART and live there inside me. I receive you Jesus. Thank you for forgiving me all my sins and for making my heart brand new inside your love. Fill me now with your Holy Spirit Jesus. Thank you/////Thank you!!!! Thank you Lord Jesus!!
