When you read Jesus in the gospels you find a Man who is fearless. He was and is a Man just like us who can have compassion upon our weaknesses because He Himself was subjected to all the same things as we are. Yet in all His trials God was proven to be faithful through Jesus. His faith did not fail for God was with Him upholding Him and carrying Him all the way through each and every trial.
If Jesus had of thought within Himself I of mine own self can get through this trial…He would have negated the Grace of God and failed….then we would all still be lost.
But He did not fail. He declared over and over I OF MY OWN SELF CAN DO NOTHING!!
If we want to have the same faith as Jesus we too need to admit this and live in that reality.
The people said, “Look at Jesus! He does all things well!”
But we know that He knew, that it was not He, but Father doing the doing with Him. Hand (Father)in Glove(Jesus).
The idea that we can do whatever we set our minds to do is drummed into us as little children and all through our formative years into High School. Now many people can do many things, some exceptionally well, others not so well. Yet the mantra–“I can do it, I can do it” fails very often and we find that we need another person to help us.
Well….here’s a point to ponder….your Father (Who is SPIRIT) is always wanting to be that Helper for you.
The very word Helper…..means that there must be one who needs HELP right?
Fear of tomorrow is all about not having any helper
The fool says in His heart there is no God. So in the time of trouble he must get through on his own. After all this what he has always imagined he has done. But if we had eyes to see we would find that Another Helper has been with us all the way carrying us, helping us. We for our part were blind to this….unthankful. But our loving Father has been with us though we did not acknowledge Him.
I need a Saviour! Everyday, every hour, ALWAYS. I need Jesus Christ to be my very LIFE inside of me. To be my strength, my righteousness, my holiness, my HELPER for I can not do it. I cannot be pleasing to God without Jesus….and my friend neither can you.
Jesus says He and Father will come into you and make their HOME in you if you believe.
Having Father in Jesus and Jesus in you is a big deal you know. The God Head, the whole sha-bang comes to live inside your heart –to be your all in all.
All fear of tomorrow must fall away when Jesus is in the house….your house….YOU!!
So I suggest that you ask Jesus Christ to come into your heart and be your Saviour right now.
Why not? Too proud?
Then when trouble comes you will have to do it all alone…though only in your mind…for God loves you even though you wont come to His Son.
Give up this nonsense of being self sufficient in and of yourself.
Jesus was not a Prepper.
What did Jesus say about tomorrow?
Take no thought for what you will eat and what you will wear.
Mat 6:25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?
Mat 6:26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
Mat 6:27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
Mat 6:28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin;
Mat 6:29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Mat 6:30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
Mat 6:31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’
Mat 6:32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
Mat 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Mat 6:34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Unbelievers are full of fear and run to get the things that they think they will need. The one who trusts and leans upon the Helper looks expectantly to Him for help. He has never failed yet.
Do not let your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid! God has made His home inside you. He knows how to protect His own and to nourish them.
Joh 14:1 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.
Joh 14:2 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
Joh 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
Joh 14:4 And where I go you know, and the way you know.”
What is the WAY to the place Jesus has prepared for us? Why, it is through faith in Jesus! Jesus was not talking about a house made of bricks in a far away place called Heaven….He was speaking about a place inside of God Himself, which He has made through the tearing of the veil–that is, His own flesh. The veil was torn that whosoever may come into Him and He into them….through FAITH!
If you want to dwell in the secret place, in the refuge, in the Holy of Holies, then believe into Jesus and Jesus conveys you into Father’s heart. HERE AND NOW….not when you die…but NOW!!
