What does it mean to love God? It means you love yourself. To love yourself you must come to know who your true self is. This the unfolding mystery that the Spirit of God is doing in your life. To love yourself means that you have accepted your new heart is clean and holy and blameless inside of Jesus Christ….constantly. How can you say you love God when you despise yourself? If you do not trust yourself, you do not trust God. If you do not love yourself, you do not love God. If you do not love yourself you cannot love others. Instead you will not trust others, not respect others and not love others.
These are basic truths stemming out from union with Jesus Christ.
If we continue imagining ourselves as separated from Jesus–He being up there in heaven and me down here–separated…we will never know God’s love for us. God has humbled Himself to take us as His dwelling place. Will we humble ourselves and confess and declare that we are the very dwelling place of God? Will we agree with God that we are the outward manifestation of Almighty God? Will we speak the truth like Jesus confessing that if you have seen me you have seen the Father? Or will we hold to this notion that we are our own little life responsible to try to be like Jesus, knowing that we fail all the time?
When Jesus told us that He is The Way, the Truth, and The Life..NO ONE comes to the Father except through Him He meant it in a substantial way.
He is the ONLY LIFE that there is….He is the ONLY TRUTH that there is….and He is the ONLY WAY that there is.
There is no other life —that means that the life you think you have, which you imagine yourself giving to God for His use, is just that..IMAGINATION! You have no life separate from God’s life. You have nothing with which to give God. Religion says you do…Jesus shows that you don’t.
Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Col 3:3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
Col 3:4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
The only life you are living by and in is Christ Jesus, who is also living by and inside Father–The Only source of Life.
For in him we live, and move, and have our being; ….Act 17:28b
The Only Life, the only way, the only truth IS JESUS…that is why Paul sees the truth in the above quote he used from the Greek poets.
How amazing is that comparison above?!
Jesus is our connection with Father…Father is the source of Life..Life itself is Father and Jesus as one…and they need a body to express themselves through..you are that body! God dwells in human form in you. Jesus is the full outward revealing of Father God….and He is inside your heart as that same Life, Way, Truth. He is your true identity. Jesus is your way and moving inside of all that God is….Jesus is the One sustaining you…He is your Life. Please don’t limit Life to “dying and going to heaven one day”. Life is God!! And God is in you for today.
This is the purpose of God–that you would be just like Jesus. You in Him and He in you–together hid inside Father. His Life in Jesus, Jesus inside you as your Life. Your way is His way- for He is the Way in you willing and doing for Father’s good pleasure.
Men have prayed- “Show me Your Way God”
Jesus is the Way of God…and He is one spirit within you..to be your only way. People ask God to give them life–Jesus is the Life of God for us to receive. People ask God to show them all truth..and Jesus Himself is the Truth, come to be your true self. Father wants us to be settled in the reality that we [together with Jesus in us]are the His Way, truth and Life.
