We saw in the previous post that Jesus was presenting to Martha the reality of His NOWNESS versus the idea she had in her head of a ‘one day in the future Messiah’. Jesus is always I AM. I AM your resurrection! I AM your Life. Not one day in the future but right here, right now! Do you believe this?
This is God’s problem –the problem of His reality being Now …and our perceived reality being bound by time.
We must renew our minds to God’s reality and let go of our imagined ideas about God if we are to see Him as He is.
Paul taught this and knew it himself. He said “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells(present tense) in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.“ Rom 8:11
But the Christian generally reads what Paul said and relegates the statement in blue to some future time …maybe in heaven one day, but not now!
If the Spirit of God dwells in you….Does He? If your answer is yes, then the blue statement is YOURS…take it as your own, by faith. How?
Declare: Dear Father God…Thank you for giving my mortal body RESURRECTION LIFE constantly through your indwelling Spirit. Amen
Paul had said, And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. Rom 8:10
Paul said that the body is dead (Gr.dia) through sin …..BUT if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells inside you????
This Spirit of Christ–Jesus Himself…dwelling inside you gives you life…His own resurrection life!! Thus overcoming the death that is in your mortal flesh through sin. This is the overcoming resurrection life that we have BEEN given through Jesus dwelling inside our heart and filling your flesh with Himself! Rejoice!!
Paul was speaking in line with Jesus own words to Martha.
25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. 26 And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”
Though we are still in these bodies of death until the twinkling of an eye moment when our bodies are changed to be like His glorious body—we live. Though we may die, we live. And whoever lives and believes into Me shall never die.
Again Paul says these things….
19 For I through the law died to the law that I might live to God. 20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by (the)faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
Just as Jesus said to Martha, so Jesus says through brother Paul to us. You died, you are crucified with Christ. These things have happened to you. Done! Yet though you have died, yet you live! It is no longer you that lives, but Christ that is living as and with you. The resurrected Jesus joined as one with you!!
Now, you and Jesus yoked together as One live unto God by His faith inside of you. Jesus is carrying you completely inside Himself and sustaining you in every moment of your existence.
You died with Christ…You now live with Christ.
You died to the Law. You died to the power of sin in the flesh!
You died to the Accuser who uses the Law to accuse you day and night before God.
You are now alive inside of Jesus…resurrected and filled with His Life. All this is His faith…it is a finished work…to be received by faith. Let it be to me according to your word Lord Jesus!!
Because you are found inside of Jesus, you are inside of He who is the Resurrection and the Life. Therefore you shall never die. You have passed from death into Life! Jesus Himself is the Life and you are found only inside of Jesus! Right now, right here!!
Alive alive alive forever more…my Jesus is alive, alive forever more!!
And I inside of Him am ALIVE too.
