If you are a human reading this then I want to let you know that you are not alone. I am not talking about someone next to you, or someone up in the sky either. I am talking about what it is to be human.
To be human is to be in intimate union with another. But who are you in union with?
That is the question!!
Paul wrote that he that is joined to the Lord is one spirit. – 1 Cor 6:17
We get joined to the Lord Jesus through believing in Him. Once you believe in Jesus Christ God puts you into Jesus and Jesus into you…you become ONE SPIRIT with Jesus.
From then on Jesus is your new life partner. He is joined with your spirit. You are one with Him.
But before you believed upon Jesus you were not alone within yourself….you were joined with someone else.
Mankind is made to contain another being as his life source. Scary thought isn’t it?
That is why no one can sincerely say Jesus is LORD except by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. If you have Jesus in your heart, you naturally call Him LORD.
But if you do not have Jesus in your heart….but rather some other being…then you will not be able to sincerely say that Jesus is LORD.
And friend, if you do not have Jesus in your heart–you are lost. Father God, would not have you to be lost. The Father wants you to be FOUND in Jesus alone for if you are in Jesus and Jesus is in you, then the Father(GOD)is also in you.
And Jesus is waiting for your permission to come into your heart and live there forever. Jesus stands at the door of your inner person…knocking. If you hear Jesus knocking on your heart door–open the door and let Him in.
In that moment when you are asking Jesus to come into your heart—He drives out the other one that was living as one with you, and which was always bringing you into bondage to sin.
Jesus comes in to your Heart to carry you, to lift you up on His shoulders and to be you. Jesus walks the walk in you, being you, however you find yourself to be in each moment.
He does not Lord it over you. He is patient and kind. He does NOT keep an account of your wrongs. He has FORGIVEN YOU all your sins and trespasses. He does not bring them up. He has no high expectations of you. He just loves being with you and sharing all things that you do.
Jesus in your heart is Life eternal. Jesus in your heart means you are never alone.
