Psalm 40:17 NKJV
But I am poor and needy; Yet the LORD thinks upon me. You are my help and my deliverer;
Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of God.
The self righteous person excludes himself from the help/grace of God.
Everyone is poor and needy. But not everyone knows it.
If you are poor and needy then you attract the favour and mercy of God.
If you imagine yourself strong and holy and right…you disqualify yourself from any help from God.
Psalm 72:4 NKJV
He will bring justice to the poor of the people; He will save the children of the needy, And will break in pieces the oppressor.
