I believe in the inspired Word of God in the original languages but that does not mean the interpreters got everything right when they did their English versions. The following passage highlights the WRONG interpretation of ‘olam olam’ as forever and ever.
Isaiah 30:8,9NKJV
“Now go, write it before them on a tablet, And note it on a scroll, That it may be for TIME to come, Forever and ever: [9] That this is a rebellious people, Lying children, Children who will not hear the law of the LORD”. Isaiah 30:8,9
Why is God saying that Judah are rebellious people who shall never ever hear the word of God? For later in the same chapter God says they shall be restored when He shows them mercy.
The correct interpretation of olam olam would clear up a lot of confusion!
Romans 11:26 tells us then all Israel shall be saved…..so it seems that at some point they shall no longer be rebellious to God and shall be granted repentance and faith in Jesus the Messiah. So much for forever and ever in Isaiah 30:8???!!!!
