Gen 9:13 I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth.
When the Son shines through falling rain a colourful rainbow appears reminding us that it is the sign of the covenant God made with Noah and his descendants. That of course includes you and me.
God promised that never again would he cause the waters to rise to destroy all life on the earth.
Which is awesome for what is the opposite of destruction?
The Bible says that the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea….and further that the glory of the LORD shall cover the earth as the waters cover the sea.
When you see the rainbow remember that covenant. God does NOT plan on destroying the earth! God created the earth to be inhabited.
God plans to send a flood of the WATERS of the Spirit upon ALL FLESH so that ALL the people’s of the earth turn to Jesus the Son of God and drink freely of the water of LIFE.
God says He shall REMEMBER His covenant not to destroy.
He says our sins and our lawless deeds He shall remember NO MORE!
His Covenant of Mercy and Love which He consummated through the sacrifice of His Son He shall Remember.
And in remembering He shall SAVE you and all people.
So let the rain fall….and let the Son shine in.
