I do not want to rain on your party but getting saved, being born again, believing in Jesus Christ is NOT all about dying and going to heaven. It is about knowing the Father and Jesus whom He sent, now in this life.
Of course that is the whole idea–the whole purpose of the Father. He wants with all His heart for you and I to rest in Him and to know Him. That is why He gave us the Holy Spirit. For the Spirit knows the Father’s heart, for the Spirit is the Spirit of Jesus.
With God it is always today…always now….always new every morning.
Yes you got born again way back on a certain date….but what about today? You can know the Father today more than you did yesterday.
Jesus claimed while standing upon the earth that He was in heaven…in the bosom of the Father. He said that the Father dwelt in Him and He dwelt in the Father. That is great Lord,,,what about us? DO we have to wait till we die to have that kind of oneness with you?
Joh 17:24 “Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.
My dear reader….God HAS answered Jesus prayer already. When Jesus died and rose again He did so so that you and I may be with Him where He is.
Where is Jesus?
Why…in the Father of course! You say…”No Jesus is in heaven.”
Where did Jesus come from?
Why –From the Father of course!
Joh 16:28 I came forth from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world and go to the Father.”
Joh 3:13 No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven.
Joh 1:18 No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.
Jesus is in the bosom of the Father–in His heart! For a little while we beheld His glory, for He was made visible in human flesh so that the One we saw and touched and listened to was a human man in total perfect union with God His Father.
Jesus said He was in heaven..even while He stood there teaching them. The John says the Son is in the bosom of the Father. Heaven then is the bosom of the Father. Heaven then is God’s heart!
Look again at what Jesus asked His Father to do for us.
Joh 17:24 “Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.
This desire of Jesus was fulfilled on the day of Pentecost when they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. The disciples had been waiting on the Lord in prayer in the upper room in Jerusalem. Jesus had told them to wait there…He had gone into heaven–which we saw was the bosom or heart of Father. Now He poured out the Holy Spirit–which Paul tells us is the Spirit of Christ (Rom 8:9).
Suddenly those 120 believers are baptised into the Holy Spirit of Christ and have had their human spirit PUT INTO JESUS’ SPIRIT.
The 120 are now in Jesus and Jesus is now in them….but wait–there’s more!!
Okay..they are in Jesus and Jesus is in them….but where is Jesus again?
In the heart of Father–in His bosom–in the heavenlies.
The glory that God gave Jesus was the Spirit of God which made Jesus one with Father.
Joh 17:22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one:
Joh 17:23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.
JUST AS WE ARE ONE!! Do you see that?
The Baptism of the Spirit makes a believer one with God in just the same way–the exact same way that Jesus is one with Father. “I in them and You in Me….”
Therefore I am saying to you and to me–we are in heaven just as much as after death. We are in the Lord Jesus NOW….Which means we are in Father’s bosom or heaven.
Joh 14:20 At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.
At that day? Yes!!!! TODAY!!
May Father open our eyes to fully see this!! Oh dear saints of God!! Why do you stand gazing up into heaven? “This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.” Acts 1:11
This is why Paul was given further revelation….which he revealed to us.
2Co 3:18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
2Co 4:6 For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
2Co 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.
Funny isn’t it…that Christians are longing to go to heaven…..but all creation is groaning waiting expectantly for the revealing of the SONS of God. Christians cannot wait to get out of here….but there are those who have caught hold of His heart and He their’s….they are realising by the Spirit in them that they are as He is —even now in this age and in these bodies. They are realising that God is revealed through them just as they are–vessels containing the King of Kings.
We are the knowledge of God in the earth…we are the fragrance of Christ!! We are for the salvation and deliverance of all creation!! But not I…Christ that lives in me…and yet it is me. The new man created in true righteousness according to His image and likeness.
