When Joshua and Caleb returned from spying out the land they said in faith “We are well able to take the land”. But the other 10 leaders who went on the spying mission gave a bad report saying we definitely are not able to arise against these people for they are stronger than we are.
They had been into Canaan their promised land but had seen the descendants of Anak there. Giants. These were a race of giants that were descended from the Nephilim before the flood. The Nephilim (fallen ones) were angels who went into the daughters of men and produced giants as their offspring. It is primarily because of these beings that God sent a flood to destroy all that had breath upon the earth.
Yet these were no ordinary men having been sired by fallen angels. Therefore some may have been able to escape the flood by an ability to move into the heavens or the spirit realm. We do not know. Or these fallen angels may have once again bred with human women after the flood. The fact is there they were in Canaan when Moses sent the 12 spies in to see whether the people were great or small.
Skeletal remains have been found all over the world of these Giants some as tall as 36 feet! The reality of these finds has been largely hidden from most people as certain organisations such as the Smithsonian Institute have worked to destroy or hide the evidence. The Nephilim of Genesis 6 were real…their descendants known as the Mighty ones in the earth were real too.
When the 12 spies went into Canaan they saw the descendants of Anak there. They said that ‘we were like grasshoppers in their sight’. From this we might assume that the giants they saw were of the biggest variety.
These Giants came from the sexual union of fallen angels(Nephilim)and the daughters of men. Think about that. If your father was a fallen angel do you think you may have inherited some abilities which we would call supernatural?
And yet, because they had human mothers they were mortal, subject to death. Now…our Lord Jesus has a supernatural Father -GOD! He also had a human mother. Did Jesus inherit supernatural abilities?
Yes…and no!
Latent soulish abilities
In a previous post “Soulish Prayers” I quoted Chinese Christian- Watchman Nee(real name Ni Tuosheng) who in 1928 wrote a small book called Latent power of the soul.
In that insightful work Ni posited that all of us humans are born with power or psychic abilities belonging to the soul that are locked up and hidden. He wrote that Lucifer or Satan seeks to use that power which is in our flesh for his purposes. In order to gain access to these latent abilities he lures people into various things forbidden by God. I am not going to name them suffice to say any practice that is an attempt to contact the dead, or to contact angels or spirits, any form of blood contract made with people or angels, any swearing of oaths or binding oneself to secrecy under oaths.
Other ways Satan seeks to get people to unlock their psychic ability is through causing trauma to them. Or through some kind of sinful sexual initiation. All these things, forbidden in the Law and by nature are an attempt to go it alone without submitting to God. As Samuel said Rebellion is as Witchcraft…or the other way around–Witchcraft is rebellion against God.
Some people are born with inherited psychic abilities. These abilities are in the soul realm. The New Age movement has clouded what is soul and what is spirit calling what they do spiritual. In fact what they do with their crystals and mediums etc is soulish. The soul of a man or woman is meant to reflect the spirit of that person. The spirit of a person is their “inner man” made in God’s image. But until we are Born Again and receive the infilling of the Holy Spirit our spirit remains in darkness and the soul will dominate and seek to use whatever abilities it can to get by.
Many who do not know God as their Father yet make the grave mistake of visiting mediums and necromancers to find out their future or find out other things. People buy some kind of idol to put in their home or wear around their neck. Doing this will most certainly invite a demonic presence to attach and invade that one’s life/soul. These spirit’s will take that person further into occult practices thus dooming them to destruction.
Jesus Christ did not sin. He did not use soulish psychic abilities. He waited until His baptism and the receiving of the Holy Spirit before any miracles were done..and even then they were purely done by through His S/spirit–NOT His soul. Jesus was in submission to the Father and allowed the Father to heal through him. Some people today think Jesus was just another psychic or Shaman. No way. They are confused. Spirit and Soul and totally different. Healings done through the soulish abilities are always accompanied by demonic power and are temporary.
What has this all got to do with the Giants?
If these Giants descended from Anak and ultimately from Fallen angels were simply tall ‘people’ then God would not have destroyed all that had the breath of life when He sent the flood in Noah’s day. These Giants were corrupting all flesh with their abilities and their seed. Only Noah and his family did not have any Nephilim seed in their DNA.
These descendants of angels are OPEN to visitations by those same angels, who no doubt come to them and teach them many things. They are taught to use the abilities that are in their soul/psyche. In fact many believe that the ancient Greek pantheon of gods were actually these cross bred (fallen) angelic men and women.
Today in Hollywood the biggest movies are the Avenger movies, and the X Men movies. These characters all have some crossover from human to angelic abilities. Of course most use it for good. But with a fallen angel as a father the Giants will do the deeds of their father. Jesus said the thief comes to kill, steal and to destroy. Before he does that he must deceive you. This is where these abilities of the soul come in.
The gifts of the Spirit are not something we can turn on at will. King Herod wanted Jesus to do some miracle for him….earlier we see that he reasoned that “these powers are at work in” Jesus because John Baptist had died and now Jesus was John reincarnated. Herod was assuming that the power of God was just like other magicians and soothsayers –a soulish ability. No…the Father-God almighty- does the works in and through a believer in whom He dwells.
The magicians in Moses day in Egypt could replicate some of the signs and wonders GOD DID through Moses and Aaron…but then there came a point where their psychic abilities were unable to do what only SPIRIT can do.
When the 450 prophets of Baal wanted their dark lord to answer by fire they danced about the altar and cut themselves with lances and cried out for hours. This was their soulish method to get more power/ability to manifest through them. But it was bound. No doubt in the past some fallen angel had shown wonders whenever they did this stuff for it. Not that day however. God bound Baal and fire came from the spirit of God to win the hearts of Israel back again.
End time deception
When the 12 leaders of Israel were sent into Canaan to spy the land it was so that they could take that land for themselves. Canaan – The Promised Land – had to be conquered even though God said I give it to you. The Giants in the Land had to be OVERCOME!
These Giants and the other tribes in Canaan were all devoted to destruction by God. Israel were told to destroy them all. I would say that the reason for this is because the Giants with their angelic parentage and connection were once again corrupting all flesh as they had done in Noah’s day. They sacrificed their babies or perhaps bred babies solely for sacrificing to Lucifer their father.
The Land was wholly given over to Satan worship in this way. The Land was cursed because of the shedding of innocent blood. The Land was cursed because they had erected altars and Asherah poles to these fallen angels.
Israel going into Canaan was to cleanse the Land and start again with the blessing of the Spirit of God. The land of Canaan is symbolic of our inheritance of a new body aionian in the heavens which God has prepared for those who believe. Giants stood in there way and today behind the scenes these Giants still operate through many means.
The Bad report
Num 13:30 Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.”
Num 13:31 But the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we.”
Num 13:32 And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, “The land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great stature.
Num 13:33 There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.”
These fallen angel humans had the same angelic ability to charm and to deceive as fallen angels do today. They deceive and connive, lure and tempt mankind to destroy themselves and others.
Ten of the spies were so overwhelmed by what they saw that they were totally discouraged and believed fully that they were NOT ABLE to do anything. I don’t know about you, but I have felt this crushing down on me for years. The enemy shouts like a Giant and says you can do nothing against me. You can do nothing!! On one hand that is the truth for only in God can we do anything. But we have Apostle Paul who said “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.”
It was not just the stature of these “men” but there was also a power at work that intimidated and discouraged the 10 spies.
Today as we get close to the time of the promised redemption of our bodies these powers are desperately trying to discourage us.
The bad report that the spies brought
In the Greek version of the Old Testament it tells us that they brought an astonishment of the land.

2) a throwing of the mind out of its normal state, alienation of mind, whether such as makes a lunatic or that of a man who by some sudden emotion is transported as it were out of himself, so that in this rapt condition, although he is awake, his mind is drawn off from all surrounding objects and wholly fixed on things divine that he sees nothing but the forms and images lying within, and thinks that he perceives with his bodily eyes and ears realities shown him by God.
3) amazement, the state of one who, either owing to the importance or the novelty of an event, is thrown into a state of blended fear and wonderment
The whole congregation of Israel numbering in the millions were moved out of their minds! The mind was thrown out of it’s normal state by the mention of these Giants and sight of the giant bunch of grapes.
This kind of mind altering effect is planned by the elite for the people of this world very soon.
