I noticed that some person searched the internet for “false gospel of paul the pharisee wordpress 2017” and landed on my blog. That would be because I own a domain name gospelofpaul.net. Did Paul preach a false gospel message? Absolutely not!
If Paul preached a false gospel then the book of Acts would finish at chapter 12 instead of 28 and the new Testament would only have 14 books instead of 29.
Who in their right Christian mind would think that Paul preached a false message!? Peter tells us that untaught and unstable people twist Paul’s writings which Peter says are some things hard to understand.
2Pe 3:15 and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation—as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you,
2Pe 3:16 as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures
There are websites devoted to proving that Paul was a false prophet. These sites are written by believers in Jesus Christ who boldly condemn Paul as a heretic and of not knowing Jesus Christ. I will not point you to their websites.
The passage above by Peter is enough proof for me that Paul was a “beloved brother” who was given wisdom from God FOR THE CHURCH of Jesus Christ to feed upon. If you condemn Paul, then you must condemn Peter as well. Matthews gospel was largely received through his friendship with Peter, therefore you can condemn Matthew as well. In fact just throw out all the epistles while you are at it and only leave the 4 synoptic gospels. But wait…Luke wrote a gospel..the traveling companion of Paul!! So throw out Luke’s gospel as well. That only leaves Mark and John’s gospels. John ministered amongst the believers at Ephesus ,the very churches that Paul established. Can we trust John then, seeing as he learned the same false teachings as the Ephesians did from Paul? No..logic says we must throw away Johns writings as well.
Gal_2:9 and when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that had been given to me, they gave me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship, that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised.
What about James? James did not condemn Paul as a false teacher but rather he and John and Peter perceived that Jesus had given Paul grace to preach. James and Peter and John shared special fellowship with Paul. Therefore based on this neglect to condemn Paul by James, we must throw out James as well. Now we are left only with Mark’s gospel and Jude. Who was Mark? John Mark was also a traveling companion of Paul before Paul and Barnabas went different ways. Can we trust Mark if he was a friend of Paul? No we must throw away Mark in case he was also ‘infected’ with these Pauline doctrines. What are we left with? THE OLD TESTAMENT WRITINGS!!
I can guarantee without even reading the writings of those who accuse Paul of heresy that they all have one thing in common. What is that? They would all say that salvation is obtained only through obedience to God’s 10 commandments …oh..yes…also belief in Jesus Christ.
These ones who would remove Paul do not understand Grace at all and are trying to establish their own righteousness through obedience to the Law. To them Paul was a heretic who contradicted Jesus.
They are free to believe whatever they wish to believe as is everyone. The Lord Jesus Christ shall vindicate all those who stand in the Truth.
